If you are a beginner this book is great as it assumes so. But at the same times it doesn't confuse you with unnecessary stuff. Dwells upon all the aspects of how to proceed with making simple designs using keypoints and nodes and also on using or importing advanced solid models (IGES or STEP etc.). Salient feature of this tutorial is that it drives home the most important FEM concepts through simple example problems. Definitely recommend.

Please don't waste your money, ANSYS has good tutorials built in that teach you everything in the book, and more!
