mine isnt allowing the burner to reach higher temperature settings

The switch was relatively easy to replace... and yes, and easy for anyone with only a hint of home repair skill. The wiring was in a plastic harness that ensured that you couldn't mix up the wires by mistake.While the installation was easy enough, when I went to turn on the burner it only got up to about half the full heat I needed for sauteing or searing. I am not sure if the switch is faulty or if I didn't push the switch's connectors together enough for a good contact. Will update my review once I figure out if the product needs to be returned or my home repair skill needs to be downgraded a bit.
