For countless number of years I have always used Vaseline as a moisturizer for my lips. I live in Arizona and with dry air it's hard finding a product that doesn't absorb away quickly without putting a lot on. I don't wear lipstick. Regular lip balms are okay but I honestly can't stand the fragrance put in most of them. Waxelene is very smooth and soothing and makes my lips feel soft for a long time. It even gives them a satin sheen unlike the obvious glossy shine from Vaseline. The combination of soybean oil, beeswax, vitamin E oil, and rosemary oil creates a natural mellow fragrance and it doesn't bother me at all. I highly recommend Waxelene. If you're concerned about the price, don't be, because a 2 oz. jar will last a long time. Update - October 21, 2012 - I previously wrote about this 2 oz. jar lasting a long time. I'm pleased to say 6 months after my purchase my jar is only half gone. I use Waxelene two to three times a day to moisturize my lips. It doesn't absorb away like other products do and I no longer carry a tube of other moisturizer with me when I am away from home for the day. My lips stay soft without any additional help. It's great! Second Update - May 13, 2013 - I just used the last of this jar today. So, that's been about 1 year ago I started using it. Pretty wonderful, high quality value for $8.99! Granted, I only use it in the morning and at night and really you don't need very much at all to moisturize your lips. I'm ordering more today.

This item is so good and overall just has so many benefits on the skin. It's pricey but its worth it. It even smell like honey a little Lol. Recommend buying the bigger version because once you have this you'll buy forever.

This is my perfect lip balm and great for chapped skin. I always thought I was cursed with dry, peeling lips and no matter what lip balm I used, it just wasn't enough. I finally started using a petroleum jelly based balm and it worked pretty well for keeping my lips soft and reminding me not to chew on or lick them, but I felt uncomfortable with the idea of ingesting that kind of product. A few months ago I got a sample of Waxelene and used it on my toddler's chapped nose and. It worked great. I decided to purchase it again to see how it would work as a lip balm and now I don't think I'll ever use anything else. It sinks in a little, but stays a little bit on the lips for a good, long while (2-3 hours at least). This reminds me now to lick or chew on my lips while it does its work, plus overnight it lasts all night and I wake up with super soft lips. I put some into a smaller container so I could take it with me, too.

A little pricey for the size but works well for skin hydration.

I've tried it out a bit, and I'm glad there is a substitute for Vaseline. That stuff stinks, and it's disappointing that people are still willing to slather oil byproducts on their skin (petroleum jelly, mineral oil). I don't often need this, but it's there for when I do -- I'll be ready for winter dryness when the time comes. That's why I've given it only 3 stars. It's nice, but not wonderful, and I don't need it much.

The best but no longer delivers to my location, in the glass jar option which I love!! Multi use. I use it as a diaper balm and its chefs kiss. Please change delivery preferences back!!!!

This alternative to petroleum is fab. It really adds moisture to the skin. By far this is the best cream I've used for my lips and it is worth every penny. The jar is small but should last a while as you don't need to use too much.

An excellent product for dry skin

..this is an excellent moisturizer - particularly because it is made with natural oils - and no ingredients that are negative..however - it is expensive..see no reason why it has to be so pricey - as it is not a large quantity..it absorbs quite easily..therefore - it is not too greasy to the touch..

Love that this has minimal, natural ingredients. Replaces Vaseline beautifully.
