Complete Electronics Self-Teaching Guide with Projects

This is a very clear and accessible introduction to electronics. Topics are introduced with just enough information to understand key principles, and without the need to understand complex mathematics. Some more theoretical sections are included but with good visual depictions, such as the workings of semi-conductors. Worked examples help to build understanding and the self-tests at the end of each chapter helpfully refer the reader back to where the principle was introduced when an incorrect answer has been derived. For those with test equipment, a variety of practical projects are included, but it is not strictly necessary to do these.

This book is great if you are learning electronics, and provides a methodical approach to teaching and testing everything I needed. The only complaint I have is the quality of the paper is very poor, but the content is brilliantly put together.

very simple level 1 and 2 at maximum. Not too many complicated examples in it. Just a simple electronics covered by the author.

just what the complete beginner needs; need to know about electronics IE ohms law and alike. if you struggle with it read electronics for Dummies, then all will become clearer. but yes an excellent book.

This book is NOT a "COMPLETE" guide at all.In the introduction of this book, it says verbatim;"This book assumes that you have some knowledge of basic electronics such as Ohm's law and current flow. If you have read a textbook or taken a course on electronics, or if you have wrkd with electronics, you probably have the prerequisite knowledge. If not, you should read a book such as "Electronics for Dummies (Indianapolis: Wiley, 2009) to get the necessary background for this book."How can a book be a complete guide to self-teaching, when it literally tells you in the book, that you need to know things already to understand.

very nice book, right from the beginning it tell you what you should already know and if you don't know this, it gives you the name of a book to read first, so you have enough knowledge to work through this book.
