Best tool I've ever owned!!
I would give this product more stars if they were available! I just recently purchased my second one because I wore the first one out. In the fall I have a lot of leaves to get up and I can't blow them all to the backside of my property, so I have to get them up. I use a mulcher and for a couple of years I had to bend over to pick them up with a conventional rake. I decided to try the Amazing Rake and it has made the task so much easier and quicker! It picks up just the right amount of leaves to feed the mulcher that it won't clog it up. I can pick up one scoop with it and feed the mulcher and by the time I get the next scoop it has chewed up the previous scoop. The first one I bought, I had used it for about 3 years and the joints were so worn it wouldn't stay together. This is not a design flaw it's just that I had used it so much. I gladly purchased another one to replace it. I realize it costs more than a conventional rake, but it is worth every penny!!

I love this this thing. Only used it once so far so canโt speak to longevity, but picking up three 30-gallon bags worth of pine needles did not leave my back in shambles the next day. My recommendation is use a regular rake to make the piles then use this to transfer them to the bags, can use the rake end to clean up the piles too. Worked great. Only possible complaint I have is that the handle on the back can rotate independently of the pole itself. I pick up piles of pine needles in the yard then rotate the rake 90 degrees to dump them into the yard bags (as the rate is at least as wide or wider than the bag, felt like this was the best way to get all the needles into the bag). Since the handle isnโt locked in place, I had to grab the pike directly to rotate it, but it still worked perfectly fine doing that, so Iโm very happy with it.

Pretty good, but could be better.
Before the 'Amazing Rake' I used to use two snow shovels or a rake and a snow shovel to pick up leaf piles. The Amazing Rake simplifies the process and is much lighter the two implements. There is room for improvement, however. First, the capacity is rather small. The 18" width should be at least 24" and the belly (curve) of the two halves could be deeper. Second, the lock is pretty fussy. It works, but it's so hard to use, it's just not worth it. Finally, the teeth of the rake are not nearly as effective as a 'normal' rake. All in all, the Amazing Rake works as advertised, but needs a bit more refinement to make it worth the price.

Excellent for scooping leaves
My Dad use to scoop leaves with a rake in one hand and a snow shovel in the other. This is the same concept put together in one light weight tool. For Chicago Fire fans, this is the slamigan of leaf raking tools. It eliminates the need to switch between tools when raking and scooping leaves and thus saves time. It comes in four pieces which snap together like a kid's toy. Very easy to assemble. Not sure why it has a telescoping handle as the handle must be fully extended to work the mechanism. Perhaps for shipping or storage? Excellent tool, especially for scooping the leaves. FIVE STARS!!

The rake doesnโt last long.
I wanted to love this rake. Due to me being afraid of snakes, rats, bugs, etc., I felt like this take would make yard work a breeze for me. Well let me tell you I gave 3 stars simply because it was good while it lasted. About 5 bags of leaves into my yard work the rake kept coming apart where the actual forks are at. As far as the pole goes it will untwist easily but that didnโt bother me much. I loved the fact that you can rake and pick up with this rake. It was also easy to adjust to your liking. Again it did not work the way I thought it would. I ended up having to pick up the leaves with my hands and hated that. I hate to do it but I will be returning the rake simply because it is useless. I really wish you all would make the forks where they donโt unsnap. If you all did that youโll have the perfect all in one rake. Please fix this problem.

Yeah, it works
It picks up leaves very well and allows you easily empty the leaves into your trash can.

what a disappointment!
I wanted to like this. It looked like a great invention... and it is. However, the hinge was a joke. In the first scoop, the two halves separated. I gave it a second try. This time, I read the instructions putting it together carefully, figuring I missed something. Nope. The hooks of the hinge fit into the catches only one way. Once reassembled, I picked up a clump of leaves and tried to hoist it into the wheelbarrow. this time, the slide handle pinched my finger as it came apart. Ok, the instructions said if you had trouble or needed information on how to put it together, go to the website, which I did. All that was there was an ad for the rake. The website gave no additional info. I found one picture while surfing around that showed the rake with a metal bar to lock the hingle of the jaws together. Wonderful idea! I searched the net in vain, thinking maybe Amazon was selling a counterfeit or an older model. No such luck. I never did find one with a better hingle. It's a shame. The tool, if it worked, would be a wonderful addition to my tool shed. As it is, I am back to using a flat snow shovel, which by the way does an ok job. I use a toy rake to hold the leaves to the shovel as I hoist the leaves. It works fairly well that way. Still, If the company would ever listen to these bad Amazon reviews, perhaps they would wise up and fix the issues before they go out of business. Other people had problems with the handle screw breaking off in the stem of the claw. They need to make that out of steel, aluminum, or at least a better grade of plastic. For almost $50 I would expect a more better product. Sad comment on this company.

It really works!
This rake is everything it's promised to be. It rakes, picks up, and is definitely saving my old back. I use my big rake to make a pile, then I use the Amazing Rake (fittingly named!) to pick it all up. The rake side helps corral those straggler leaves back to a pile to pick up. Absolutely worth it. It's become one of the best things I've purchased for yard clean up.

It is really amazing the best tool I've ever had
I am a landscaper so I use this tool very often doing spring and fall leaf cleanups. and clean up after shrub trimming. I initially purchased this item from Princess Auto but purchased only one and that was my mistake. I regret my cautious approach to buying it thinking it may not be durable being made of plastic. After using it for the first time, I was amazed by the quality and practicality. It is also very ergonomic. As a result of my excitement I went back to the store to but another one but unfortunately it turned out to be a special buy which means they will not sell it anymore. Being so disappointed I searched online and found it on amazon.ca and didn't even think twice so I placed and order. Just received it today and I am extremely happy. I've noticed that the manufacturer has made some quality improvements which makes this amazing tool even better. No more screws. It comes disassembled but it takes 2 minutes to put it together. Everything snaps in place. You can also adjust the length of th handle to your liking and then there is a lock on the handle for transport or storage purposes so the main part of the rake doesn't stay open which would be more vulnerable to accidentaL damage. I would very highly recommend this tool. I wanted to place another order for this tool at amazon.ca but it is unavailable so I ended up ordering online and the item will be delivered to Home Depot In Niagara Falls , N.Y. where I have to go to pick it up. By the way, I bought my very first amazing rake approimately 9 years ago and still using it professionally. I would recommend this tool with a heart beat. If you get one you will never regret it and recommend it to others like I do. Thank you for your time. Derek K.

Expensive but works
This is expensive but does the job. When you first open the box you will be surprised by the cheap plastic construction but once you start to use it you find that it actually works to pick up the leaves. It takes some getting used to to find the right way to use it the best.

Awkward rake
Leaves and debris fall easily out of sides of rake when turning it just slightly. Not a time saving tool.
