Review: Great trainer! - Just got the CycleTek fluid trainer and love it. It was a snap to set up, is very quiet and has all the resistance I need. The price was right in desertcart so I as I was researching fluid trainers this was the best deal plus had good reviews on other websites and bike magazines. I was impressed enough to purchase it and very glad I did! It is well made, is stable with six stable floor contact points, is very quiet even with road tires (just ordered a Vittoria trainer tire) and has a 7lb flywheel along with the fluid resistance unit - works great! Only used it three times so far and can't wait to get the trainer tire as I read it is even more quiet using one. Also got the CycleTek riser block for the front wheel which stabilizes the wheel and has three height settings to raise the front to simulate hills plus you can stack them if you purchase another for more height. Highly recommended for indoor training sessions for winter or when the weather doesn't cooperate. Review: Broken Trainer... never hooked my bike to it! - The knob on the right side of the trainer was broken when I got it. This produce was obviously sold, returned, and resold as the packaging had a messy tape job. So, now I have this trainer that I can't train on... Cash Me Outside Howbow Dah

Negative experience unfortunately
So I've had this a couple years (just now writing a review because it's a negative experience) Used mostly by my wife. It's nice and sturdy and works well. BUT it does leak fluid from regular use, not even more than a few times a week! Contacted cycletek warranty and they said to send it in. (On my dime) Well it's heavy so shipping cost me over $40.. almost a month later and no word, phone number on site isn't working and now I have a trainer without a resistance unit. I'd suggest buying a different trainer!

My Trek 29" fits on it nicely and it's really easy to pull off and go ...
I've put several hundred miles on my trainer. I usually wear headphones so the noise does not bother me. It's not overly loud, but it's not quiet. My Trek 29" fits on it nicely and it's really easy to pull off and go biking, then come home and put it back on. I don't have a stabilizer for the front wheel, but I don't feel like I need one. The stand is sturdy enough there is no wobble to the bike.

Good Quality, Quiet and at a decent price
Good Quality, Quiet and at a decent price. Some of the reviews I saw discussed some issues with setup, having to turn a tension nob instead of a quick release, having to loosen the clamping tension adjusters to easily get the clamp undone. I guess if I was a pro rider using it to warm up for a race this might be a concern, but this is a non issue if you use it like me for getting in some ride time on inclement weather days. Its 13F outside as I write this, with a strong wind and much colder windchill, no way I can stay warm enough to get in a comfortable ride in that so this saves the day. Now if only the manufacture could make a way for riding in one spot to be less boring, even though its quite enough to setup in front of the TV and watch movies, sports, or news while riding on it, its just not the same as being out riding on the road. I can't motivate myself to go workout in a gym, cycling has been the one exercise I enjoy doing enough to keep myself in shape after sitting in front of the PC 50 hours a week at work. My motivation to use this comes from not wanting to be in to bad of shape when summer comes back around to enjoy riding outside again.

Leaks fluid
Took delivery on Jan 11 2017 for my wife's bike. It now leaks fluid. Not sure if it can be repaired. I would save and spend the extra money on a cycleops.

Had it replaced twice
If you produce high watts training this may not be the trainer for you. The first M1 I'd average 19-20mph and it starting making clicking/tapping sounds after an hour. Swapped it for a new one since its under warranty, service was fast, but now the new one is doing the same sound after putting 80miles on it. Instead of wanting a third replacement i just requested a refund. Customer Support said the set screw is loose and needs to be cranked back into place, hints the clicking sound. If CycleTEK improves the set screw in the roller this item will be a great purchase but for the price and multiple returns I'd rather get a different brand and pay a few more dollars the have to always tighten the set screw. The trainer was quiet off the start but once the set screw comes loose its a different story.

Heavy.
This is a great trainer, quiet, efficient but heavy! Its weight is my only complain about this product. For that reason, I keep this trainer in my house for when I spin by myself and bought a different and lighter trainer for when I spin with a group in a public location. That way if I am parked away I can carry my trainer and something else to the location. The CycleTEK is so heavy I needed to use my two arms to carry it!
