This dining set is actually really nice, very comfortable seats and a nice size, style and finish. Now, like you, I read a lot of reviews that had other than desirable experiences, with receiving a damaged product, missing parts, poor quality or difficulty in assembly. I also read some good reviews too and that built up some sort of shallow confidence in myself to purchase something like this on Amazon, and be one of the satisfied too. After some deep thought and reckless consideration, I reinforced the idea that I am a man who can be a glutton for punishment and likes to live dangerously from time to time, I went ahead and pulled the trigger on this and hoped for the best. Man, I must have lucked out, because the Amazon God was good to me. To my astonishment, my package arrived in great condition. All parts were accounted for, and I was relieved nothing was damaged . Now, possessing the ability to follow Lego build instructions, my 10 year old son took the lead and with my help (I tightened screws and bolts) put the table and one chair together with no problems in assembly or fit, before he had to go to his mom's house for the week. Somehow though, after he left, now alone, I was able to manage building the other 3 chairs on my own. I also completed them in a reasonable amount of time, to type this out before I turn in for the night. My son will be proud to see i finished the job when he returns on Friday, and I suspect, he will also be happy we don't have to eat at the coffee table anymore like savages when he is over. Needless to say I am impressed with this table and I hope you will be too if you decide to get one.

Hopefully this message will make it to the seller. It appears the box had been previously opened as some of the screws were floating loose, and the box was a little damaged and taped. That being said, the table is beautiful, and I was able to put three chairs together, but two of the legs are cracked for the other chair and I don’t wanna have to send the whole thing back. I would prefer they just send me a set of chair, legs, and I will be more than happy because the table and chairs are extremely nice and I will be ecstatic with the product and update my review accordingly So please just send me replacement legs. I don’t wanna have to take the whole table and the other chairs apart thank you.

The table looks great in my dining room. I was looking for a counter height table and this one fit the bill. The price was great and considerably less than getting it directly from the furniture store. It took about 2 hours, taking my time to assemble the table but the instructions are easy to follow, making it easy to assemble. The table feels solid and made from decent materials. The parts, screws also are decent. My only con is the table had a mark on one corner, but it’s something I can live with and if I put a table cloth on it, the mark is covered.

The box was very heavy. I recommend having a dolly or a couple of friends in the area to help carry it to your desired location. The components were carefully arranged to make the package compact, and everything was mostly protected. The only part that suffered damage was the tableface. There was some styrofoam cloth that looked like it was trying to cover it during shipment, but I guess it got moved around too much. There are little scratches here and there, but the majority of the scratches came after assembling. I put a box on top of the table (not very heavy, I'm not that strong), but it somehow scuffed the table further. I'm being nitpicky, but I'm also giving a warning to those expecting great-quality wood. You are NOT buying great quality wood, it's compacted/recycled and exactly what you're paying for. Now, I'm still giving this a 5 star because of a bunch of things. It's VERY easy to put together. I looked at the directions once and was able to put it all together by going "yeah, this looks right". It's sturdy. Although it's nothing like what your grandparents had back in the day, it's still able to hold some weight. I'm around 5'9", and I love how high it is. This table is definitely for people on the taller side, and the chairs match that height perfectly. The table design/color is beautiful. The tableset is stylish, but not overly so. If you're someone who loves wood items then this is for you. People usually have light/white kitchens, and the deep color of the wood will balance it out to give a nice homely scene. I got it for the design, but the chairs are surprisingly comfortable. I don't want to hype them up too much... but I've sat in worse. I just want to reiterate the wood quality. It scratches very easily. When you buy this table, I recommend also buying some type of tabletop protector because this piece will get scratched.

This table met my specifications for overall dimensions and height, so I took a chance on it since I could get it MUCH sooner AND for less expense than going to a furniture store. The caveat is that I had to put it together, but I'm a handyman so I wasn't concerned about that. Since I live upstairs, I unboxed it outside and brought the pieces up in trips. This also alleviated having tiny pieces of Styrofoam all over my apartment but believe me there's no getting around that mess! Once unboxed, I found NO flaws with the finish, so it was obviously packed and transported carefully. Some tips and observations: I had a tube of Dielectric grease in the garage, so I knew lubing the bolts would make assembly easier. Squeeze a small bit into the whole or on the bolts before inserting/tightening. I think most any thick lubricant would suffice though. I was puzzled and frustrated to find that the manufacturer (in Vietnam) had applied some sort of blue colored marking "paste" on a small threaded area of the bolts for some manufacturing purpose I assume. I had to literally chisel some of the bolts with a box-cutter blade to assure the bolts would thread properly. The whole process getting to a finished table took me most of the day, so having a helper would be nice, but it's a chore no doubt about it! I love the table though and bought a thick rubberized table protector (also on Amazon) that fit's the 42"x42" size perfectly!

The table and chairs are sturdy. About 3 hours of assembly time. The provided tools are fairly soft metal and will wear out quickly, so you may need to have spare tools of your own. I recommend getting some felt pads for the bottom of the legs as they are bare wood. These are bar height chairs so keep in mind that your legs may dangle if you are less than 6'. One corner of the table arrived badly damaged, which was very disappointing. The chairs arrived with no damage. Be advised, it's a big box. 146 lbs. You'll need two people and/or a dolly to move it.

I read the reviews and looked at the pictures that were posted and decided to roll the dice… I have ZERO complaints about this dining set. I purchased it to replace an older set and loved the color of this one. The box itself is upward of 140lbs so grab someone to help you move it. The directions are straightforward and easy to understand. It feels like quality material and will definitely last. The table top is actually 42”x42” which is perfect. It has a clean sleek look and feel to it. And strangely enough it’s around half the price if you were to buy it from the manufacturer directly; with that said it’s a great price. Would definitely recommend, but please inspect it when you receive it.
