Buy Hand-stitched Landscapes & Flowers: 10 charming embroidery projects with templates by Witten, Katrina (ISBN: 9781782214519) from desertcart's Book Store. Everyday low prices and free delivery on eligible orders. Review: Beautiful book - This is a gorgeous book! The embroideries use organza as both backgrounds (which gives a lovely watercolour effect) and for some of the flowers themselves. The results are so pretty. The book is really well explained with step by step pictures, using just a few simple stitches. The photography is really lovely and colourful. There are some large flower designs, some small really simple ones and some small landscapes. The book also gives you ideas to design your own embroideries. Review: Katrina has an incredible talent for colour and design. - A few years ago I saw Katrina demonstrate some of her Rowandean embroidery kits on TV. I bought a couple from her website..... and now I'm embroidery mad!! 😊 This book is crammed full of techniques, projects and inspiration. Not a page is wasted as even those that demonstrate stitches - that you may already know how to do - show a piece of her work that you could recreate. Using pieces of organza is fairly easy and looks very effective (I've just bought a pack from Katrina's website) and the Appleton wool (I bought some from Sew and So via desertcart) creates a different texture and look to your work. I've bought a number of embroidery books (after careful research), but this is probably the best. I know this book must have involved a lot of work Katrina, but please create another one soon 😊.

I love this book!
I bought this book after doing one of Rowandean's embroidery kits. It's a gorgeous book and the projects are beautiful, using simple stitches with lots of pictures to guide you. The instructions are detailed but leave you lots of room to change details and really make the project your own. Absolutely love it and hope they will bring out another book like this one!

Great book for embroidery fans :)
I bought this book after watching the author Katrina Witten with her embroidery company Rowendean on the craft channel Hochanda. The book is great even for beginners , so many lovely pictures and written for everyone to understand. There are also some great projects to try with templates within the book. Having a great time with my 2nd project from the book - can`t wait to take it further with some Rowendean kits :)

Excellent book. Very informative.
Some really good designs. The thing I like most , you can just use different elements from it. Add those to your own designs.

Great explanations, easy to follow instructions but expected more templates as a novice at this type of craft

This book is wonderful because even if you don't replicate the projects exactly, it still shows how easy it is to be creative with just a few simple shapes, materials, and stitches. I looked for a long time at many embroidery books - some too easy, some too broad, but this one stood out as a perfect balance of attainable embroidery and art. I tend to dislike things that look “cutesy” so it was nice to finally find a book that let me be a creative beginner and still turn out something that looks fairly sophisticated. Outstanding illustrations, a variety of ideas with clear instructions, and inspiring compositions made this an ideal choice for me.

Je me suis inspirée du livre en mélangeant différentes matières. De l'aquarelle sur tissu, des morceaux de tulle et de mousseline, plusieurs sorteos de perles, des fils à broder ,de la laine.

I have a lot of embroidery and silk ribbon books. This book has inspired me so much, the ideas are just running out of my head! I wish she more books and would come to the Pacific Northwest and teach a few classes! She does such a great job explaining her directions! I would rate her more than five stars if I could! Nicely Done!!!
