SEASAN Freshwater Round Oyster Pearl Cultured Oysters with Pearls Inside 20 PC (7-8mm)

I ended up getting oysters from different sellers to check them out and make sure it was good enough pearls for a pearl party I am hosting for my friends. I've never had a party before so this is insanely important to me. I ordered 20 oysters from this seller and decided to open 2 of them. There is a slight smell but not too terribly bad....however, if you do what I do and place it in water first before opening then that scent goes away. I opened 2 of them and was instantly pleased with the pearls inside. While the oysters themselves were a bit small the pearls...one pink and a dark colored one were adequate size. The pink one was in the tiniest oyster I'd ever seen but it was the bigger of the two pearls and had a fantastic color. The dark colored one is so dark it looks black. I believe these pearls will please my friends so I placed the rest of them in the refridgerator until all my orders of pearls, cages, necklaces and bracelets come in and I can coordinate the party.

The others made up for my disappointment when each one revealed several different pearl colors. They were fun and would be great for people in a large group. I will probably be ordering from this seller again in the future. It was a fun project and well worth what I paid. Thank you for such a great experience.

Beautiful round pearls...love them..some of the pearls color didnt take so the pearl had blue and cream color, still beautiful

These are great. An adult should open; our 5 year old grandson went crazy with anticipation and excitement. We've opened about 6 so far. I'm saving some to open with my granddaughter for her birthday. We also got to Google mollusks/ clams to study how the pearls are made. The colors are vibrant. No repeats so far. Even the smallest clam had the same size pearl as the larger ones. All are shiny. They only have a slight smell of alcohol. Who hasn't gotten a whiff of alcohol lately! ( I'm sure if not preserved, they'd stink to high heaven! I'm very happy. 20 pearls with the experience is well worth the price I paid. I'll probably buy more later.

i love the idea of pearls being something anybody can get and make pretty items with them.the truth of the matter is these look fake they came in oysters yes, but these were not in the meat and the dye used to color them also dyed the meat of the oyster in the area where the oyster was placed(which does not happen with non dyed pearls). most of the pearls are lighter on the side that was against the meet of the oyster (where the meat is dyed) if you want to buy this to do with a child make sure you put a tarp or something down that can catch flying pearls we lost one because it went flying (we found the other that dropped eventually) most of the ones my daughter opened flew out some landed on the table . great for having a kids party and making a necklace for the guests or something like that with it. these had very little smell to then which was nice but doesn't make up for the dyed pearls. was looking for a company to buy pearls from for a business this will not be the one i use.

We were looking to have some fun and replace pearls that have been lost, and to give a few as gifts. The package contained 20 oysters; we kept 16 for our family, and gifted the others. Each oyster was air sealed and we soaked them in water to try and rid them of the smell. I highly recommend wearing gloves because the smell is horrendous. Our kids could not stop giggling because it was really that bad. The colors of the pearls were bright with hardly any blemishes or flaws, and were mostly round in shape. Some of them were quite large but still fit into the cage pendants we had. The price was great for the quantity and quality. Overall, we were very pleased with the product.

For my son’s high school graduation, I pulled these out for all of the other seniors to do, you know… “ The world is your oyster” kind of thing! Anyway, it was a great hit. I ordered one package and I should have ordered two because all of the adult parents that attended the party were so intrigued and wanted to open one, but I did not have enough! Ughh! I have ordered oysters with pearls similar to these before for a small New Year’s party and it was so much fun. These are good to use for any occasion!
