It's working, so far
A side plot is infested with Bermuda Buttercup (Oxalis pes-caprae). I hand-weeded a bunch of the BB. Then I got this seed product. I mixed half of these seeds in a large bucket with a cubic foot of commercial garden soil. I hand-scattered that over the plot, then raked-overturned the plot's top inch of soil. And then it rained. About a week later, shoots of wild grass & peas (I think) appeared all over the plot, a pleasant result. More of the BB sprang up, too. My plan is to hand-weed it again, then repeat with the other half of this seed product before winter hits. After that, I will let nature take its course and see what out-competes what. Update: The BB is incredibly persistent and has needed further aggressive weeding. However, I still think this is a good product. It's growing well and fighting the BB as best it can. Update: After 5 months of winter into spring, this ground cover looks beautifully green and "wild". Winner! Update: I had to rip out something large and leafy - the peas? - when they threatened to overshadow everything and breed insects. Whereupon, the grains/grasses got EXTREMELY vigorous and wiped out the last of my Bermuda Buttercup problem! I'm going to plant something else entirely now, but this product was fun and helpful, for sure.

Sprouts fast
3 days later, it's thriving. Dug up a hill beneath a large boulder and scattered these seeds. Morning shade, too. Good despite pricy. You get what you pay for :)

Knee high in 6 weeks
Iโm highly pleased with this seed and will buy it again next year. I broadcasted and lightly disked it just before a rain in September. I took these pictures today on Nov 8 and the forage is almost knee high. The germination speaks for itself. Iโm in Northwest Georgia, and the seed clearly loves it here. I had bought a 25 lb. bag for a winter cover crop for our vegetable garden, but the collards, turnips and daikons are too beautiful not to harvest. This is a good product and a smart purchase for wildlife and soil management as well as the southern table.

Good affordable cover crop
Germinated within a week. Seems like some of the pea sized seeds never germinated. Didnโt get much more than 8-9โ of growth due to it being towards the end of summer. Overall good cover crop for winter.

Will definitely buy again!
Love this product! Raked my backyard and threw the seeds down and raked back over the seeded area and within days the seeds sprouted! Perfect for grazing chickens. Stuff kept coming back after chewing and mowing. Will definitely buy again!!

First time user; I'm sold!
I was skeptical about this because the price was a bit steep and I'd never tried ground covers for my raised garden beds but I'll never do it any other way again. It's been great for my garden over the winter months, and I have to admit that seeing green in the middle of winter is refreshing. I scattered the seed in the empty beds in fall and didn't give them another thought. Germination rate was excellent. Now in near-spring, I've pulled up the growth from some beds and laid the greens back in the soil to compost. The soil was very easy to turn with a pitchfork as soon as we had ground thaw and it looks beautiful. I'm sold!

sprouted in 3 days with minimal watering.
great cover crop. i use to improve soil, and to reduce weeds under fruit trees. only issue is that some plants can be very persistent. will not overwinter in shade, but will in sun in zone 7.

Good seeds
Worked well for me. I used it on a garden plot which is about 20 x 50. It germinated within a week and has been growing nicely. Should do what it's supposed to.
