TWTADE/Electric Relays DPDT Power Relay with Plug-in Terminal Socket Base, AC 110V Coil, 8 Pin 2NO 2NC JTX-2C AC 110V

Upon receiving this relay I tested it to see how it works. The numbers for the connection terminals are on the top of the socket, somewhat hidden by the relay. The numbers correspond to the relay pin numbers in the diagram printed on the side of the transparent relay cover. To make connecting wires to the terminals more clear I created my own images of the relay and socket with the assigned numbers and switching functions. The relay operates exactly as specified and the contact ratings are quite ample for my application. I am very happy it came with a base and the item description clearly shows the octal socket relay pin assignments for anyone that might consider trying to plug the relay directly into an existing socket in some piece of equipment.

Needed to turn on some extra fans to circulate hot air when a smallish space heater (gas) was running. Ran a signal from the internal fan to the coil and ran power and fan loads to the contacts. Fun little project. But you should know that the coil on this package is on pins 1-8, while on most of the others that I've tripped over in the wild these are on on pins 2-7 (as is the inner terminals vs the outer terminals on the socket.) This is important if this relay eventually fails and somebody just plugs in any ol part without checking and verifying.

Decent 110V AC Power Relay for general use... No issues so far, works like a charm. Used for my Kasa Smart fireplace wall switch. Please see that review for more information.

Insufficient schematic wiring diagram printed on side of relay housing, saying "Bottom View', but when looking at bottom we cannot see anything but black plastic and pins. Appears to show terminals 1 and 8 are for the coil that is supposed to operate on 120 VAC. Applied 120 VAC to terminals 1 and 8, but coil does not operate. Went to TWTRADE website, but no schematic wiring diagram, no contact email, no contact phone. Typical lazy cheap, Chinese junk.

We are using this relay to transfer 120 VAC "grid" power to 120 VAC "Sine Wave inverter" output power. This means this relay must be in the on position while on the grid power. In other words it is almost always turned on. We have had this relay on continuous duty for weeks now with absolutely no problem. Also, having a socket for this relay will make future replacements no problem.

Terminal screw connections secure wiring well. Contact diagram makes accurate connections possible!

Relay and base are well made and function as expected.

for some reason the people in china hooked the coil to pins 1 and 8..the standard config. is pins 2 and 7.other than that it is great..
