I had been looking for a quality nativity scene for awhile and this one blew me away! The detail is beautiful and the authentic gold, frankincense and myrrh is so cool!

This is exactly the set we were looking for! At first we were uncertain without having seen it in person, but, of all the sets we looked at this was as traditional as we could find (traditional as in the Holy family, the three wise men, the animals, shepherds, angel, star, etc.). The pictures do not do the set justice, it's stunning in person! None of the pieces were damaged- the packaging is so secure and well done. There are shepherd's staffs even packed in their own nook in the styrofoam (all items in their own small plastic wrapping and then secured into styrofoam molds). The items are resin and very durable quality; the painting of each item is detailed with vibrant colors. The manufacturer includes the batteries and the manger lit up looks lovely. A warm glow! While the manger looks nice and detailed, it only has room for Jesus, Mary and Joseph in it, maybe a small sheep on the other side. The rest of the pieces are arranged in front of the manger, representing visitors coming to pay homage. I don't think cramming everything into a creche would have the same effect as seeing this set laid out the way it is. There is a certificate of authenticity for the legit Gold, Frankincense and Myrrh that come with the set. These extras are actually very nice. The box with the gold (gold flakes in liquid in a small bottle) has a small rectangular piece to hide the top of the bottle. All boxes can stay open on their own. The nice final touch was the "Christmas Card" explaining the gift, Wise Men, etc. We could see ourselves buying more as gifts for people we know would enjoy it just as much as we do! :)

Very detailed; pieces are solid; scale of characters/animals is more appropriate than many sets; well packed in a box that can be used repeatedly for storage; perfect size for my small home. I love looking at this set!

I bought this as a gift. This was a quality nativity scene. All of the statuettes were so beautiful. It made for a beautiful way to celebrate the birth of Jesus. You will enjoy this set for your own collection or gifting it to a friend or family member.

I have been on the lookout for the perfect nativity set for many years and never found exactly what I was looking for until now. I find it essential that baby Jesus not have a manger glued to his back, and I love that Mary can hold the baby Jesus in this scene. I also love the fact that the figurines look to be Jewish rather than western European as most sets do. I was worried that the facial painting detail would be lower quality on the 5" set, but it is beautifully done. I am really happy with whole set. I could not give it a 5-star rating because the stable arrived slightly damaged. It is hollow inside, so more fragile than the others. We were able to repair it perfectly, so I did not return it. My set also did not come with the frankincense and myrrh as advertised, but that is not why I purchased the set, so I am still satisfied with the purchase and highly recommend it.

I had it shipped internationally and it arrived in perfect condition. I loved having all the animals with the set. The colors are vibrant especially for the 3 magi and the facial detail is very nice. I especially like that Mary can either hold the baby or have the baby in the manger. The set allows for various scenes such as the angel speaking to Mary alone, as well as the more traditional scenes. The nativity is a lovely addition to my nativity collection. Our church purchased the 10-inch set last year and I was glad to find the smaller set for home use. There are a few things to note. The 3 treasure chests in the 5-inch set were the same size as the 10-inch set and too large for the smaller magi so they sit on the ground separately. However, the 3 magi in the small set were also holding 3 smaller chests that do not open. The 3 larger chests that open hold gold in a liquid substance, and pieces of frankincense and myrrh that come in separate bags with more than is needed. Very nice for children (and adults) to see what these gifts actually might have been. Also the stable comes with the 5-inch set as advertised; however, it is not very deep. This is great for display in narrow places. However, the only animal that would fit inside was one sheep. The ox and donkey must be placed outside. The stable is long and is divided into 2 sections. Joseph barely fits inside height-wise but can stand next to Mary and the manger without any animals inside the wider section of the stable. The light in the wider section of the stable shines down on the baby in the manger with the way that I have it arranged. The star on a separate stand also allows for the 3 wisemen to follow the star separately from the manger scene. I like this versatility for the story's scenes.
