Walrus Oil for the win!
Great product! No smell, super easy to use, and good size for a smaller cutting board project! The only thing I didn't like as much is the instructions say thin layer, which leaves much to interpretation. Super minor, easy to adjust by checking the curing. It leaves a neutral color, it is an amazing value!

HUH, what? WOW!
I was SO tired of oiling my cutting board with Mineral Oil every week. "BOO" I needed a better solution. The overly-hyped Tung Oil seemed to be WORSE than mineral oil, and washed out after a single use. Out of desperation I decided to apply Walrus Oil. During application, I could tell there was something very different about this oil. As I rubbed the Walrus Oil on the surface of cutting board, it seemed to immediately soak in, and turn the cutting board back to its deep dark color. The color was deep, dark and even. HUH, what? WOW! I was very surprised, and hopefully skeptical about what I was seeing. I applied a bit more Walrus Oil (since that was always necessary using mineral or tung oil), and allowed it to soak in for 24 hours. After 24 hours, there was no change. The Walrus Oil had completely soaked in without any dry spots, and the color was still deep, dark and even. So I decided to wash my cutting board using cutting board cleaner (ASIN - B076SY2CVW). I was VERY pleased to see the Walrus Oil stayed in place. I could see a very light sheen on the rinse water, but the color of the cutting board remained dark and even. It has been 1 week since I applied the Walrus Oil. After multiple washings per day, I am very happy to see the Walrus Oil is still going strong. It is holding up better than ANYTHING else I have tried. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

The best for counter tops!
Hands down the best and easiest to use. I love this stuff. Initially I let it cure 24 hours on my new kitchen butcher block counter tops and did two applications. But know as follow up every couple of months I clean and then wipe and let it cure for the day.

Oil seems great; packaging, not so much.
So close to 5 stars. Note that this is a review of a product whose real value will be measured over weeks or months, not days. Nevertheless, this is a variation on a common finisher many make themselves. Mineral oil and bees wax melted together however, an additional safe oil is added and for some reason, vitamin E. It was very easy to apply as it is a rather like a thin ointment or thick oil squeezed from the bottle. I used nitrile gloves and a clean cloth. Spreads out evenly and quickly. No odor at all (it has nothing to do with a walrus). Spills and clean up were very easy. 12-24 hours later, wipe off excess and a quick polish made a beautiful finish. Iโm not sure itโs better than bees wax and mineral oil but I would recommend it based on my current short term experience. The con: the bottle was inside a closed plastic bag that was a little oily inside. The seal under the cap was completely off and pressed into the cap. There was a bit of oil lost, so a little mess. Other than the packaging, 5 stars so far!

Fantastic finish and long lasting oil.
I built our entire kitchen cabinets and in our island, I decided on a built in large walnut cutting board. That said, I was looking for a high quality oil that would protect my hard work. Walrus Oil does the job. It provides a beautiful finish and the oil seals into the wood so nicely. The result is an easy to clean surface that lasts for weeks. PRO TIP - you need to do this much more often than people think (for any oil product). The quality of the oil is great and with NO smell that I can detect. It's clean and I trust it for my family as it's made with simple ingredients that are all food safe.

Tusk is a must!
Only the best for my cutting boards! I like to heat mine up in the oven on warm, just enough to get the juice flowing and open the pores of my end grain pieces, really helps with absorption. Long lasting, no funky smells and washes off your hands - once "cured" it lasts well on the board. Heavy detergent will remove it faster, and I do this prior to reseal jobs or after working with a lot of raw meat - like on a bbq day, or Tuesdays-Friday.... Also great on wood handle knives! I also recommend the board wax. Great stuff.
