The razor to last a lifetime
The 6s could be the only razor you'll need for the rest of your life. Even with a higher price tag than some other popular razors, the build quality is impressive with all parts being well machined and the threads being smooth the screw in but never unintentionally coming loose. The weight of the stainless is great and even though it has a standard/short handle, it feels great in my larger hands (but also know this is subjective). The plates let you dial in your shave while still being a simple bomb proof design, and seems to offer a solid shave across different blades to accommodate your preference. It takes a few trial and error shaves to find the plate/blade "golden combo", once dialed in the razor provides a great shave every time without fail. Some ownership tips, the razor is forgiving on angle but will leave you with a subpar shave, so if you're not getting a smooth finish, check your technique. If it's tugging, chances are you want to swap either plates or blades (for me, nacets tug in this razor but work fine in others. If that happens to you, I find feathers are perfectly sharp and tame in this for my somewhat coarse hair). Finally, I'd recommend starting with plate 3. Better information is available for more knowledgeable sources, but that's my subjective recommendation.

Closest and most comfortable shave I've ever had
I've been using a Mühle razor for the past few years. I thought it was pretty decent, but bought the 6S after reading some reviews on various sites. I am thoroughly impressed with it, after my first use. I tried the lowest level shave initially, and moved up to where it felt most comfortable, which was easy and quick. It was the closest and most comfortable shave I've ever had, no nicks at all! There were some problem areas where I needed to apply more pressure, and they came out perfectly. I put off upgrading for a long time, and I'm glad I finally did. The price is maybe a bit much, but honestly the shave was decently quick, which makes the time I'll save shaving absolutely worth it.

Definitely worth the upgrade.
I purchased a Rockwell 6s razor as an upgrade from my Merur 34C daily shaver after reading several positive recommendations. While I found nothing wrong with my Merkur, the Rockwell is definitely a step up. The adjustable heads are key. I found, for me, the number 4 works very well on my beard and skin type. Once I found "my" setting , I tried various blades from different manufactures and found that all seem to give very good results. Clearly the better quality blades last longer and do a better job, but even inexpensive blades did a commendable job. This included cheap "store brand" blades purchased at a local grocery store. The razor I purchased is very well constructed. I would say it's built like a tank. The 6s is a SOLID, well built razor, and heavy. I was quite surprised by the difference in weights between the Merkur and the Rockwell. At first use, to me, the Rockwell seemed like someone got the bright idea of bolting a double edge razor blade on to an old Ford truck axle. The Rockwell is solid and heavy. The Merkur, hollow, and much lighter. At first, I had doubts that the Rockwell's quality and alleged capability justified the extra cost. I was also used to the lightness of the Merkur and was concerned that the heavy Rockwell would be clumsy, unwieldy and difficult to maneuver, perhaps resulting in nicks and cuts. This proved not to be the case, however, as once I had the Rockwell is dialed in, and with a heavy lather of Col. Conk's shave soap, I have consistently gotten BBS shaves. I have to agree with other reviewers that the Rockwell is a step up from the Merkur, and is definitely worth the money. The Merkur, I still like and will keep, but now goes into my travel kit. The Rockwell has been promoted to daily shaver.

Best of the best.
Best razor I’ve owned. It feels solid and well-made in your hand, and the different plates make it easy to find the perfect shave without irritation. Every shave is smooth, comfortable, and close, with way less razor burn. It just works, feels premium, and honestly seems like a razor I’ll be using for the rest of my life. Much better than spending $20 for a replacement razor from other companies.

Top Quality. Very Durable. Excellent shaves. Crazy price.
Top quality razor...but WILDLY overpriced. I like the design having different inserts that each align the blade at a slightly different angle. Its a nice clean shave every time and its basically a once-in-a-lifetime purchase because it really has no moving parts to ever wear out. About the only way you could ever break it is if you somehow stripped the screw threads that attach the head to the razor handle, but you would really have to be determined to do that. It is a little different using a safety razor instead of disposables because the blade changing process involves unscrewing the head to take it apart. One thing that I had to buy separately was a disposal container for old blades, but those are not very expensive.

Una maquinilla maravillosa, como tener 6 en una. Calidad inmejorable. Y a un precio bajísimo. Gracias por la oferta al vendedor.

I just tried the Rockwell 6S safety razor for the first time today, using a Gillette Seven O’Clock Super Platinum blade, and I must say—it lives up to the hype. With the adjustability of the plates, it’s like having a new razor every time you shave, tailored to how your beard is on any given day. Starting with plate 6 for the initial pass and switching to plate 2, I achieved a clean, close shave in just two passes. I only needed minor touch-ups, skipping a full third pass against the grain, which is typically where razor burn or irritation can sneak in. The best part? No nicks, no cuts—just a smooth, BBS finish without a hint of razor burn. The ability to adjust the plates is a standout feature, giving you a personalized shaving experience each time. If your beard feels particularly thick one day, you can start with a more aggressive setting and dial it down as you go. It’s versatility at its finest! Absolutely worth the investment, especially for those who enjoy tailoring their shave. And for an even better experience, I’d recommend pairing it with Proraso Green products—trust me, you won’t be disappointed!

I was hesitant switching over from super expensive cartridges to DE because of the initial investment and a little afraid of cutting my noggin. I was going to try the Henson but good razors are expensive so trying multiple razors didn’t seem like a good idea, hence the 6S. Being able to adjust the aggressiveness of the shave seemed ideal and the 6S gives you the adjustability to experiment until you find the right setting for your beard or hair, if you’re shaving your head. This gives me a closer shave than a cartridge at under 50 cents a blade. This razor is good but with the caveat that I’m using Feather blades which are very good and translates to a closer, quicker shave with less risk of getting nicked. For me at number 4 it’s perfect for both my head and face. Also, I found the handle to be the perfect length, especially because I shave my head and face so I need to shave at many angles. The razor is also quite heavy which takes a bit to get used to but I found it helps with control. I shave with both my left and right hands but with my eyes closed in the shower. BTW, no special soaps are needed, I just use a pump of body wash, but again for me the Feather razors make the difference between a good shave and an enjoyable one, plus they last longer so that makes up for the difference in cost. There is definitely a learning curve as you figure it out and you can’t rush shaving with a DE but you are rewarded with a close shave. This a very good razor and with the Feather blades it’s even better.
