Made to Move Dolls with 22 Joints and Yoga Clothes, Floral, Pleach

The Barbie Made to Moves have some of the highest number of joints in any play doll -- 22 points of articulation! I thought Mattel couldn't top that, but the curvy MTM body is amazing. It's genuinely curvy, with bigger thighs, a little tummy, bigger backside, thicker arms, but still as posable as ever! As a lot of reviewers have said, this doll's original face isn't that great, but the main reason people buy Made to Moves is to give their favorite dolls a much wider range of motion. This body is very pale and nicely matches with a lot of pale dolls, including Disney dolls who have no other Barbie match. It also works nicely with larger-headed dolls such as Project Mc2 -- the bigger limbs add better proportions. (Aside from switching the head, it's also very easy to remove the hands and replace them! My doll in the photo has DC Super Hero Girls Poison Ivy's hands.) Now, the downsides -- I own both this and the tanner Dancer doll. In changing their limbs to be curvier, the designers made the joints HUGE. They are not subtle at all. The knees are enormous and really stick out. The elbows also are very obvious and have some issues bending. Sometimes you really have to force to get the arm to bend enough to touch her face! However, despite the joints, I think these dolls are amazing and could be revolutionary for both doll collecting and play. Their posing is superior to some dolls in a much higher price range, the joints are tight (they can hold their hands in the air without them slowly sliiiiding down to their sides), and the curvy body is simply adorable! Definitely recommend.

When Made to Move Barbies began to come out, they were a hit. 22 some odd points of articulation. Great! Near the same time, Mattel started their line of Barbies that had different body types. So of course people wanted the Made to Move Barbies to come in the different body styles too. Of course it is not as easy as just making it. There is a lot of design work that goes into something like a whole different body style. Well, Mattel did work on it, and they came out with a full figured woman that is really well executed. She fits right in with her Yoga sisters. Of course she would be another yoga doll. Easy to make clothes with the two-toned top and capri styled pants. And Mattel does not have to add in shoes. A savings over the course of the line I am sure. This version is really well executed. She has a full figure that looks realistic. Hips and thighs are paired with fuller arms. I hope this is a trend that sells well and continues. She has beautiful blond hair that is less platinum than Barbie's and looks more realistic. It has a beautiful wave to it, and is a very nice length. If there was one drawback it is the continued use of tiny little feet. On the human body, a foot is similar in length to the forearm from the wrist to the nape of the elbow. The feet on Barbie are about half the length they need to be. That proves to be a problem for having the Barbies stand. It is fantastic that they come with all of the great articulation in the ankles, but they have a lot of trouble standing. I thought as we got figures like the DC Super Hero Girls who do have proper sized feet, that we would see the trend continue into the Barbie line as well, as there is a push for more realistic figures. It is not a big downside, as there are still lots of shoes for this Barbie to wear, just know she will not be able to stand on her own.

My child saved her money to buy this on her own. I ordered for her as our local stores don't carry the Made To Move Barbie line. She is thrilled. The doll moves exactly as shown and can go on all kinds of "adventures" now. When it was first out of the package I had to help bend the upper most arm joint. It was incredibly stiff. Place the doll on the table and gently apply weight until it moves. I did that a few times and now it's working fine. I had read elsewhere these dolls might be stiff but will move easily once they get going. The hair is nice quality, no glue head, and overall it's a beautiful doll. Her features are so natural just like her body. No problems with the clothing going on or off either. The doll if a few months old now and despite regular play is holding up fine. Given the lack of small parts this would be a good choice for younger kids who are just getting ready for a fashion doll so long as you removed the head band. Be aware her body type doesn't work with normal fitted Barbie clothing.

So I finally purchased my first made to move curvy doll and I must say that I am super happy with this doll. She seems a bit shorter then my classic made to move barbies but hey she is a full size girl so I'm ok with that. I love the color of her hair it is also soft. Her face paint isn't the greatest but again she is a made to move curvy barbie so again I'm ok with that too. She has white skin instead of a natural complexion which I am still not sure why Mattel went that route she is almost the same complexion as the Asian made to move Barbie. She can do the same poses and has the same articulation as my classic made to move Barbies and her body shape is beautiful. I am so happy with her that I placed her on top of my dresser in my bed room because she is so awesome to me. If you are an adult doll collector like me then she should be in your collection.

My first curvy girl and she is beautiful! Her figure is stunning , her face and hair are gorgeous. Had to give her 4 stars tho because she has several imperfections. She has a small place on the side of her face near her neck where the plastic didn’t fill the mold all the way. She has two black smudges on her that won’t come all the way clean, one on her leg, one on her torso. Finally, her left elbow joint would barely move and when it finally did, it spit out a huge chunk of plastic that I had to remove with an exacto knife. I wish Mattel would tighten up on their quality control... I’ve purchased a dozen made to move dolls since November and of them several have had very noticeable imperfections, more than several have been dirty when I removed them from the box and one doll’s foot broke off after barely using it. Several of the other dolls have weak ankle joints that I predict will also break at some point. After years of losing money, Mattel is finally doing good with Barbie again, but that won’t last if the dolls are dirty and falling apart. Please do better Mattel! I love these dolls, I want to keep collecting them but I won’t if they’re not good quality!

I was really curious about the curvy body Barbie, and in particular this one that has so many joints. She is beautiful and a great doll with more realisticly human proportions (maybe a size 8-10 rather than 0-2?). She is definitely pear shaped though. It doesn't seem like they increased the upper body size or changed the face shape at all. The joints are pretty tight to move for a kid, but it means she holds poses well. I do wish she came with shoes or other outfits that would fit her. Buying Barbie clothes for the different sizes seems more like a shot in the dark. In doing research I haven't found any Barbie clothes sets made for the different body types yet. I might just have to buy more of the dolls and share the clothes that come on them. Overall high quality, and would be a great gift for a kid or a collector. Also works well as a model to practice drawing different human poses.

This Barbie Doll was purchased as a Birthday gift (by request.) The recipient received the doll and was very pleased. This is what I was told that she liked about this Barbie and Why she wanted it: PRO’s: • MOVEMENT - 22 Articulating/movable joints = basically, posing is unlimited, which enhances play. • SIZE= She views this as a ‘curvy’ Barbie that is more in line with her & other’s “REAL” world body type (not everyone is a size 2!) • HAIR COLOR = Ginger/Blonde hair is more in line with her Real World Hair color than basic blonde. •. ACCESSORIES = Plenty of Fashion Packs to choose from online that fit this doll. Also, plenty of customized accessory options available via online stores like Etsy or EBay. • COST = Very Reasonably priced Barbie Doll • SHIPPING = On time, QUICK! Ordered on the weekend, and she had it by Mon-Tues! CON’s: • ACCESSORIES = SHOES! Apparently, it is difficult to find shoes for this doll model on standard sites, so she had to go through customized sites like Etsy or EBay to find shoe choices that fit. Overall however, the recipient really liked her birthday gift and was excited to receive this Barbie Doll. Barbie brand dolls have definitely come a LONG way since I was a child, they are no longer all blonde and size 2, which is great to see. Being able to gift someone a Barbie Doll that looks more like they do in real life, I think, helps children, and even adults, have a much better body image of themselves, and removes some of the pressure that little girls used to feel to achieve “Barbie” like proportions, that for some are an unrealistic expectation. Hence, I definitely recommend this Barbie Doll (along with the Seller.) Note: Barbie is shown with the dress (Minus the cardigan) that came in her fashion pack with the doll.

I bought this MTM Curvy Barbie to use for tailoring clothing for more delicate, expensive dolls, but I was shocked at what a gem she was when I opened the box. She has a friendly, Disney-like face and soft, beautiful strawberry blond hair. Other reviewers have complained about her messy hair, but blame Mattel's packaging for that: they weave the plastic mounting string right through her hair. You have to be EXTREMELY careful when cutting her loose or you'll cut her hair as well. When I was a child, my G.I. Joe dolls were my favorite toys. Unlike my other plastic soldiers, they could move! This makes MTM Curvy Barbie much more real, a great little "companion" for any child, and certainly one to stimulate that child's imagination. My one complaint would be her tiny feet. They're no bigger than her hands and shaped for high heels. She cannot stand on her own; but she can sit in an array of poses and even cross her legs. She's a little big for traditional Barbie clothes, and I don't know if there's much out there for her just yet. Here are her rough measurements in inches: Bust 5 1/4; Waist 4 1/4; Hips 6 1/8; Shoulders 6 1/2; Upper thigh 3 3/16; Crotch to heel 5 1/4. Hopefully, that helps. Again, she's a real gem and definitely a collectible. You or your child will find her adorable.

画像からは、もっと濃い褐色系の肌と思ったが、実物は以外に色白だった。（日本人の肌色に近い色） 体型は上半身は細め、下半身はガッチリの安産型。これも親近感が持てる。 関節の稼働部分はやや固めなので、小さいお子様があつかうとしたら、破壊されそうな心配があるが、ポーズがしっかりホールドされるので、飾って楽しむのには良いと思う。 膝の関節が深く曲がり、あぐらのポーズが出来る（正座までは無理）ので、今までのバービーとはちがう飾り方が出来そうなのが楽しみです。

Hey.... This is my first ever "barbie" It is too cool, beautiful, amazing and most importantly it can move .... Actually i was very excited when i order this , and my excitement increase gradually with every day ,, finally i got MY BARBIE ... Thanking you .. And i want more Barbie's but also i request to maker's please make sure "that barbie can sell in low price with made for move" ....

I loved this Barbie because of lots of things . Firstly her very light brown hair is very soft , long and wavy . It is easy to handle , and you can do all kinds of hairstyles , including mini braids and things . Her face is very well detailed and in proportion with everything . This barbie doll is also very flexible so you can put her in all kinds of different poses . She comes with one set of clothes which are of good quality , but of course if you wanted to buy her more clothes , they all fit her ( she does not come with shoes ). She came very quick and extremely well wrapped . I had difficulty getting her out of the box because she was so well wrapped , but that is a good thing because she can get damaged very easily in the post . All in all , if you like Barbie you should get this made to move doll ... she's fun !!

I can't wait to get more...I love made to move Barbie dolls for their possibility!!!
