I still have not used it. The directions are very ambiguous. Not really user friendly, and I believe parts are missing. No reply from seller.

This is an excellent product. The hardware is solid and well built. Unfortunately, I ended up having to return it due to it not really being designed for my purposes. I have a loft in a playhouse that the kids accessed using this ladder. Because the ladder does not have a mechanism for securing it to the track, it came off too easily when the children were using it. This was not the fault of the hardware or the manufacturer, and so I did not doc any stars for this. This design simply isn't meant to be used how I was using it. I ended up returning the hardware and getting the kit (made by the same manufacturer) that has two rollers that fit over a bar. That design cannot come off the track and so is more suited for use with children. This product is an excellent choice if you have the ladder in an area where it will not be jostled frequently, or if you want the option of removing it from the track and placing it elsewhere. Great for a library room or closet, not the right choice for a play area. The kit does not come with wheels--those have to be purchased separately. I chose to buy $4 wheels at Lowes, which worked perfectly. The ladder can be built to any height and width. The length listed is the length of the track. I bought the 12ft kit, which came with a 7ft and 5ft track that joined together to form one long track.
