Shrub Shears Okatsune 217: Short Handled, Medium-bladed.

These shears are very nice. Perfect size, very sharp. A joy to use.

Excellent clean cuts. Well made, balanced - my go to item in the garden.

Very expensive, very sharp, easy to use, and not too heavy and well worth the money.

I’ve used these on various hedging plants and it has is capable of cutting through 5-10 mm privet. Although I felt the length was awkward to be accurate particularly when working with them closer to your body. I’m now experienced enough to work out best distances to get the job done effectively

This is the second pair of Okatsune shears I've bought. I made the mistake of taking my first ones apart to sharpen, which is not recommended. There is a video on YouTube showing how to sharpen them, using a proper Japanese wet stone and cleaning with a proper cleaning rubber. Also use camelia oil to protect the blades.

Bought these garden shears after purchasing the secateurs and they are excellent. Very sharp and a joy to use. Although not cheap they are top quality.

Be warned, these shears are lethally sharp, which, in the right hands, is exactly what you want. They are lightweight, beautifully balanced and a complete pleasure to use. They will cut privet, hawthorn, shrubs and box hedges to precise perfection and, to seal the deal, they come presented in a very elegant leather sheath. Simply the best shears we’ve ever owned over a lifetime of gardening.

These truly are a pleasure to own and use. “Out of the box” they look awesome with handsome handles and a leather sheath. The real pleasure starts when you use them. They are very light weight and cut beautifully, making it very easy to shape any shrub or bush. Totally worth the money.

切れ味が良く、リズミカルに切れ、力もいらない為、作業効率があがります。重いと言う意見を散見しますが、当方も同意します、が、この切れ味なら当方は許容します。

Die Lieferung(aus Japan) dauerte fast 4 Wochen,allerdings mußte ich in die nächste Kreisstadt zum Zollamt fahren,um dort noch die Mehrwertsteuer von Euro15,21 zu zahlen und die Schere abzuholen.Gesamtpreis also deutlich höher.Damit hatte ich nicht gerechnet.Die Heckenschere selbst ist ziemlich leicht,liegt gut in der Hand und schneidet sehr gut.Ob ich sie noch einmal kaufen würde,kann ich nach 2 Tagen noch nicht sagen. Inzwischen habe ich die Schere benutzt,sie schneidet wie Butter durch trockeneGrasbüschel ,dünnere Rosentriebe,etc.Insofern sehr zu empfehlen.Aber vielleicht würde es auch Fiskars tun!?
