Kensington Fleece Bareback Pad — Heavy Duty Saddle Fleece with 1” Thick Foam Center — Measures 29” Long and 36” Wide

For almost a year, I researched reviews for both Kensington and the Best Friend Comfort Plus bareback pad. Truly, a choosing a bareback pad is a based on subjective individual opinion.I have both bareback pads and now that I have the Kensington, I can tell you that THIS is the pad I would recommend. To me, it is more comfortable and perhaps even more “grippy,” than the other brand. The Kensington is definitely a thicker pad than the Best Friend.Love, love, love the Kensington bareback pad! My only request is that it would come in a bigger variety of options for color. Would love to see fun options like a light turquoise or hot pink.

The girth is very short. I have a 15.3” thoroughbred who has a very narrow build and the girth barely fit. Typically I have to add an extra pad under a bareback pad because the girths are too long. Not the case with this brand.It is comfortable, and cleans easy enough. Only wish the girth could go up a hole on each side.

Comfy - girth is almost too short for my 16 hand horse - fits but barely! Not probably ideal for the rotund horses :)
