I've had this headphone and transmitter bundle for a couple of weeks now so I can review them having used them. I recently upgraded my TV to Sony Bravia 55" but with these newer models little thought is given to audio out or the fact that wall mounted flat screens do not have the luxery of just inserting a jack plug or phono lead once on the wall..... I wanted to have the benefit of being able to listen with headphones (noisy neighbours) keep all the leads in place and not effect the normal sound output by doing so. I orginally considered the transmitter box alone and buy some headphones but upon advice from Avantree who thought there may be issues with lag I went all in for their complete bundle, pricey, an unknown brand and my first tryout with an optic cable..... yes I had concerns! once delivered and unboxed it was fool proof, insert cables where needed and turn on. the headphones connected straight away with the transmitter and I had sound. My main use has been for the world Cup recently and the quality of the sound is quite remarkable, the range is amazing picking up a huge variety of sound, so good I felt IN the STADIUM .. ball kicks were like I was sat next to it, crowds are really clear as are the in stadium announcers BUT this does not mask the commentators either, the range is superb nothing too high end nor too bass loaded! The headphones are extremely comfortable even for a man with a 62cm head!!! Most headphones I wear become like a vice for large headed people like me, squeezing after a while needing removing BUT Avantree headphones are super light and fit very very well for long periods. The ear cups are just right to sit on the ear not smother the whole ear. My only wish would be for these to have a bass and treble control. Volume setting it can seem a little muddy but thats always the case when there are no tone controls whatever headphones you have and they'd be little use for music when bass and treble are absolute requirements. Even develop an app that can control the tone like my Turtle Beach Stealth 700's for gaming, it really makes all the difference. The transmitter box is a simple unit that does require power from a USB source but rather than plug it in to my TV I use a normal 3 pin USB charger plug that most phones use nowadays so I plug direct in to an extension for all my power, obvioulsy you can plug the USB directly in to the TV but if you dont have enough or any at all the 3 pin option is a superb saver if ports are limited. Overall I'm really happy with my Avantree bundle, never heard of the brand before but I'm glad I tried the product and I'm more happy it works very well for my needs. The support team are great too, happy to answer questions and assist when needed, with 2yr guarantee in the box I hope to be using these for many years to come, I will upgrade IF Avantree add bass and treble controls but otherwise it was money very well spent for me. Best of all is there is absolutely no visible or audible lag from anything I've watched, its picture and sound perfect comletely in time. 13/07/18 - UPDATE .... these headphones just amaze me everytime I use them! I regularly watch JRE podcasts on youtube and its mindblowing just how much sound these deliver... their range is absolutely remarkable, to the point where every tap on the table, bump on the mic, turn of a page is so clear its like sitting next to Joe Rogan himself!!!! I've never ever had such clarity from any headphones and I use a variety across gaming smartphone etc this Avantree bundle is simply superb!!

My husband is practically deaf and I'm not a fan of a loud TV so we have been arguing over the TV volume for 15 years. I can honestly say these are one of the best purchases I've ever made and we can now watch the tv at our own choice of volumes with the husband happily wearing the headphones. He loves them - the quality is amazing, they are lightweight and comfortable and so easy to use with the volume easily accessible on one of the ear pieces. He also says they have the added benefit of enabling him to completely ignore me without any reprisals! I don't know much about TV technology and did quite a bit of research prior to buying these and came to the conclusion that the TV sound on my 1 year Samsung TV would probably disconnect when the earphones were plugged in via an optical cable as Samsung didn't support the tv sound + optical option together like LG and other brands do. I therefore bought an optical splitter and planned to use our soundbar alongside the earphones, not knowing if that would work or not either. However I didn't need to worry or use the splitter. The headphones connected to the TV instantly using the optical cable supplied and didn't affect the TV volume at all - it works exactly the same as always whether the headphones are plugged in or not. Just for clarity, the digital output audio on my tv is set to 'PCM' and the output setting to 'tv speakers'. These headphones couldn't have been easier to set up and use. I cant comment on the long term reliability of these but at present I couldn't recommend more highly.

I needed a new set of wireless headphones to use with the TV and went with this product. At first I was a little skeptical due to not knowing this brand of manufacturer, but based on the positive reviews the product has I decided to go with it. The set up to use with the TV is very quick, really plug-n-play with no fuss. I just use the 3.5mm audio jack for connecting the transmitter to the TV (with the transmitter being powered by the TV via the supplied USB cable) and switch on, followed by switching on the headphones. After a few seconds the headphones sync with the transmitter and are ready to use. The transmitter is small and can be placed discreetly without being obtrusive which is a plus if you want to keep cables etc out of the way. The fit of the headphones (for me) are quite comfortable and have used them for many hours without any discomfort. The sound quality in my opinion is quite good, and so far have not encountered any interference or 'lag' in the audio. There is a possibility to connect a second pair of headphones to the same transmitter. I have not tried this but should be straight forward and assume using the same brand of headphones rather than a different make. The headphones have an integrated battery that charged by connecting the supplied USB cable into the headphones and charged either by the same type of plug used to charge mobile phones. Overall I'm very pleased with this product and would highly recommend.

I recently bought a samsung telly that was supposed to be bluetooth enabled, unfortunately, this turned out not to be the case. I repeatedly tried to get a pair of Sony headphones to work, nothing worked, not a peep. After trying a few other gizmos and some odd cable attachments, I almost gave up and was about to even return the telly, when I read reviews of the Avantree headphones and transmitter. As soon as I set it up, much to my surprise, it worked. I didn't have to do anything except plug it in. Yes, the sound is not as good as my wired Sennheisers on my other telly, but there is sound, so, in my book. it's all good. Tvs don't appear to be made with headphone jacks anymore, so, if like me, you like to watch telly late at night, when everyone is in bed, this seems to be the only way to go. Well made, good kit, highly recommended.

Den Kopfhörer benutze ich nur zum Fernsehen. Folglich kann ich nicht bewerten wie gut oder schlecht die Höhen und Bässe, oder wie gut die einzelnen Noten des Musikstückes rüberkommen. Nach verschiedenen Geräten bin ich bei Diesem sehr zufrieden mit dem Tragekomfort, den weichen Ohrpolstern und dem kinderleichten Anschluss am Fernseher. Hierbei muss man wirklich kein Techniker sein. Die Übertragung erfolgt störungsfrei, auch kein Rauschen. Allerdings verliere ich innerhalb der Wohnung, ohne störendere Wände oder Türen, nach ca. 10 m den Empfang. Der Schalter zum Ein/ Ausschalten ist etwas klein und filigran, was die Bedienung etwas gewöhnungsbedürftigt macht. Ebenso die Schalter für die Lautstärke. An beides gewöhnt man sich aber schnell. Die Bedienungsanleitung könnte umfangreicher bzw. alles etwas besser beschrieben sein. Wenn man sich mit dem Gerät, auch ohne Bedienungsanleitung, genauer befasst ist das Meiste jedoch selbsterklärend. Ich bin mit dieser Methode gut klar gekommen. Grundsätzlich muss ich den Kopfhörer loben. Bequem zu tragen, guter Klang, optisch ansprechend und er macht einen wertigen Eindruck. Für meinen Verwendungszweck optimal, ich würde ihn wieder kaufen.

Muy buena compra. Realicé el pedido el día 1 de diciembre. El día 7 lo tenía instalado en el televisor. Tiene opción de conectarlo por minijack ( donde se conectan los auriculares en la televisión), o salida optica ("optical digital audio") como lo he conectado yo, ya que mi televisión lo trae, y es una LG de hace unos años. El sonido es espectacular, mejor que un dolby exterior, ya que lo tienes directamente en la oreja. Es plug and play, es decir, se conecta y ya están emparejados los cascos directamente. El sonido muy bueno por ese precio. No obstante, tiene opción de emparejar unos segundos auriculares por bluetooth, en mi caso tengo unos Sony wh1000m2 con cancelación de ruido, y emparejan perfectamente, son unos cascos de alta gama, y el sonido es aún mejor, evidentemente, y con cancelación de ruido, aísla totalmente y te mete de lleno en la película. Y lo que para mí es más importante, que no tiene latencia, los labios van al unísono con el sonido, tanto con los cascos que vienen, como con los sony que tengo emparejados.

My husband and I are both seniors in our "young age" of 80's. We have an unusual experience connecting the headphone I bought from Amazon (HT4189). I contacted Amazon Dept of Product Support and asked direction and guidance from several people since April 5 when I received the product. I also contacted a couple of people at Avantree and Samsung TV and all of them failed to assist me to connect the headphone to the Samsung TV. I bought this TV a month ago and the Avantree HT 4189 is described as compatible for Smart TVs with built-in Bluetooth (e.g., 2024 Samsung Tvs with a Hassle-Free set Up) However, since April 5, I am so disappointed and frustrated because whenever I contacted the people from SamsungTV, Amazon and Avantree, they either refer me to other department, hang the phone and the waiting time ranges from 40 minutes to over an hour and when I was finally connected they said that I need to return it because the product is defective. I bought another product (Nuuoi) and I have the same experience. I feel that I am a basketball dribbled from 3 companies and could not reach the goal to score. When I called Amazon for the the last time, (I even requested for a supervisor to talk to), she stated they are not well-equipped to give me technical support and said that they can help me only regarding shipment, returns, orders of the product. I emailed the Avantree technical support again, and requested for them to call me on Saturday. Today (4/18) is my lucky day as I receive a call from REI, from Avantree technical support team. She guided my husband and me to connect the headphone to the Samsung TV. What I understand (correct me if I am wrong), for Smart Tvs with built-in Bluetooth, the HT 4189 headphones can pair directly via Bluetooth and in this case, slide the transmitter to "OFF" because there is no need to use the transmitter. Rei, is amazing! She is so patient, soft spoken, and guide us with so much expertise! After so many people I have encountered just to hook the headphone to the Samsung TV is a breath of fresh air for me. I was excited when I hear the sound from the headphone and the frustrations and disappointments I had was totally erased in my being. Maybe, you would think I was too dramatic but the quality of the sound is soothing to my ear for the first time. Rei also directed us on the how to charge which is also easy to follow. I would advise the readers that if you will have a problem with Avantree HT 4189, contact directly the seller and ask for Rei. She is an angel.
