Excellent. Smooth texture, bright tart taste. I can put it on rice or with hot water a shoyu. Good for the belly.

Yummy! And brings the tang I used to get with tomatoes. I'm not sure if I have always been sensitive to tomatoes, but during an elimination diet I discovered that nightshades (tomatoes, white potatoes, peppers, eggplant) cause me inflammation. I use a this as a replacement for tomato paste. It brings the tang and depth needed. It's saltier than tomato paste, so I don't use it one-for-one, but taste as I go. I end up using less salt too - especially in a soup broth.

Love this paste! I grab for it whenever I get any kind of upset stomach and wham! The discomfort is GONE.

This product has great flavor. Have used it on spam musubi and with plain rice. The only downside with the product is the container, which is very thin plastic with a lid that does not seal. Otherwise would have given a five star rating.

Food Product and packaging smelled terrible of strong perfume. Stinks so no one could get near enough to even think about eating it!!! I had to put it and box outside until I could get it to the dumpster!!!!!! Please return my money or replace with another uncontaminated ume paste container from a different source. Thanks so much

I highly recommend this Eden Umeboshi Paste. It's as good as most any you could obtain in Japan. Plus it doesn't contain the MSG and other chemicals Japanese foodstuffs are often full of. Nice clean taste. As a fan of umeboshi, this doesn't disappoint.
