Would be sturdy enough to hold tools?

Very sturdy, I have all my drill chargers on the top tray, 9 drills in the middle drill holder and shelf, 2 larger power tools in the bottom shelf, and lots of screwdrivers, wrenches, drill bits at the side racks and baskets. I am glad I puchased this tool organizer. All tools in one spot!

Is this power tool organizer easy to assemble?

Yes, this power tool cart comes with all hardware and instruction. Just take me about 10 minutes to complete the installation.

How many tools can this tool storage organizer hold?

A lot, it almost holds all of my tools. It is much larger and better than those wall mounted power tool organizers. I highly recommend it!
