Rectangular Brush with Short Tooth

I bought this TEK hairbrush for my wife after hearing good things about the quality, and it has completely lived up to our expectations. The first thing she noticed was how comfortable it feels to use—the wooden handle is smooth, well-balanced, and easy to grip. The bristles glide through her hair without pulling or snagging, making brushing much more comfortable than with her previous brush. She has also commented that it leaves her hair looking smoother and helps reduce frizz, especially after blow drying. The craftsmanship really stands out. It feels like a premium product that’s built to last rather than something that will need to be replaced in a year. We also appreciate that it’s made from natural materials, which gives it a unique look and feel compared to typical plastic brushes. My wife uses it every day and has been extremely happy with it, so I’d gladly recommend it to anyone looking for a high-quality brush that feels as good as it performs.

Delightful! Feels nice in the hand, runs through my long fine hair well, releases easily when it hits a snag, doesn't cause electrostatic wispies, and even distributes my hair oils down the strands. Left my hair shiny and smooth. I did not use any product other than shampoo and an acid rinse. I brushed at 80-90% dry hair.

This is the best brush I've ever used! My last brush had a ball point at the end of the wooden pins, and that one pulled on hair so I don't ever trust using a brush to detangle my hair after a night's sleep and my hair is like a bird's nest. However, this brush detangles my hair so gently, it doesn't pull on my hair unless I am aggressive and in a rush. The rubber that holds the pins felt like leather or something of high quality, smooth, and looks like might last a long time. The brush I had before this already had cracks in the rubber after a few times I cleaned it. With this brush, it's so easy to clean, I just use an old tooth brush to scrub between the pins with a little soap. My hair is greasy and easily leaves grey stuff on the pins and the rubber, what would usually be a nightmare cleaning a brush now becomes so easy, this brush easily sheds it off with my usual way of using a tooth brush and soap. Works great with my short, straight, thick diameter, medium volume hair. The brush is so light yet better quality than my last brush, which is heavier. I like the rectanglular brush, for the main reason that it's easier to clean with a tooth brush---just up and down, left and right, unlike an oval brush, I'd have to clean in a up and down then radial way---from outside to the center. The box, is so neat, it did came with a little cream white cotton bag, no ad cards or anything to entice people to win a free product by doing so and so. Nice and pure from ads. The box opens from the long side of the box, not the width, which is what I'm used to since my last brush is opened by sliding the cover lengthwise, this one is like that of a shoe box. Love the presentation, except the price is too high. It is supposed to be $35, when I finally got around to purchase it, it became $38. Learned about the brush from watching Holistic Habits, finally got around to having one! Love the quality and the care put in to making this brush. Update: Nine months after use, March-December, a pin broke in half during cleaning with a toothbrush. I was very disappointed but can’t really blame it because I do clean my brush very often and I had been a little aggressive that time. I usually wash/scrub my brush 1-2 times a week after each time I had washed my hair to ensure I am using a clean brush with clean hair(also my hair leaves dirty residues, maybe it’s just me or the quality of my shampoo). I still continue to use it, I just pull out what I could of the broken pin, the part of the pin that is under the black rubber couldn’t come out, so it fell in and stayed inside the black rubber part, which I’m fine with as long as no pokey part is on the outside to scratch my scalp. I feel disappointed and expected the brush to last years without damage. But with how I am using it it may be different. The brush feels a little different without that little pin, could also be the placebo effect. But now that I cut my hair short, it feels no different than with or without that pin. Plus it is only a pin on the lower left edge row, not too bad of a spot lose a pin. Hope this helps.

Love this brush! Will definitely be buying more. No more plastic balls breaking off leaving sharp edged bristles to scratch and irritate my scalp. It's been a game-changer!

I bought this brush in March 2021 and I have absolutely loved it ever since. It's been incredible for my hair, it distributes oils from the scalp throughout the hair to keep it looking smooth and shiny. My hairdresser has noted how healthy my hair looks after some changes I've made, the main ones being exclusively using this brush and waiting for my hair to be 80% dry before blow drying. It never made my hair full of static (that I can recall) and has glided through my hair effortlessly de-tangling. I have no clue what is wrong with some people out here and their odd criticisms. As far as "the brush comes missing a pin," the description literally says the brush looks as though it's missing one and the hole is intentional for air circulation purposes. I guess some people do absolutely zero reading about the products they're spending their money on, especially wild considering this isn't some random drugstore brush it's a $50 Italian wood brush. And in the 3 years I've had this brush, I have never had it look like some of the photos posted on here, the ones where the brush looks trashed and all bizarre with the pins sticking all directions. My brush literally looked new still, even after brushing through wet and damp hair, brushing through hair products, or getting slightly wet from cleaning it. It's always dried properly and looked fine still. Make no mistake, I am not super gentle and delicate with the things I own. I actually dropped the brush and it fell kind of hard on some tile. Only had a small chip on the back of it, but that never affected the use of the brush and never got worse. I was actually pleasantly surprised at how solidly made the brush is. The only reason I am even buying a new one is because the brush got lost and likely trashed following a house fire. I had to abruptly leave and even after recovering some of my things, I never was able to grab my brush. So while I've had to go a short while without my brush, best believe I miss it dearly and fully intend to replace it asap with another.

Works well would recommend

I have been using this brush for about 6 years now and it’s totally changed my hair for the better! I have fine straight hair but since using this brush my hair has gotten thicker, less breakage and more shiny. I know you look at this brush and the price tag and think “I’m not paying that for a hairbrush” but let me tell you it’s 1000000% worth it. Before I found Tek brushes I went through plastic brushes about 1 a year, because I would break them trying to detangle my hair. I’ve had the same brush since 2018 and it’s never even lost a single pin! Before usage of this brand brush I used to have to wash my hair every single day because it was so oily, after consistently using this brush I now can go up to 3 days in between washes! That may not sound like much but it’s life changing for someone whose hair was so greasy before. My hair is thicker, grows longer and has more health to it now than ever before and I know it’s from this product! I ordered a second one to have as a backup because I didn’t know how long this would last and I’ve never used it so I’m going to give it as a gift to my friend for her birthday! I cannot say enough good things about this brush and if I could give it 100 stars I would.

Dry as in end of a windy workday, not for wet detangling. If you have long, fine, damaged or dry hair prone to breakage that looks like a tangled frazzle at the end of the day, consider splurging on this brush! I'm glad I finally did. I wore my hair down and straight today with a slight bend, and the wind was 15-25 mph today. Tried out the brush when I got home and it was soo gentle, not a single hair came out! And no static! It was pricey, but, if your hair matches my description, and you want a better tool for a mid or next day detangle, do it for yourself and your poor baby hair. I did also order the Chosin X-Large paddle brush at the same time. That brush has a standard paddle brush stiffness and much larger standard paddle brush size compared to the smaller Tek size. I thought about returning the Chosin but it didn't cost much and can serve some different purposes like scalp massage, tougher tangles, maybe a low heat blow-dry. I did get some hair fall with the Chosin brush, but each strand had the root ball, not broken, so ready to shed anyway. The Tek brush feels like a whisper against your scalp but it does detangle straight dry hair without any damage or static. Which is what I'll use it for whenever I wear my hair straight and need to detangle every 4-8-24 hours.
