Has anyone successfully hung this horizontally using Command strips?

No, I used a sinker screw and wire to secure the key end and a sinker and headed screw to anchor the handle end. Though I love the command strips for light projects, this key in my opinion is way to heavy,

Authentic looking antique key

This was a great find to go with my tropical antique decor. The rustic patina is a beautiful dark bronze color. This key is well made and heavy, not a flimsy piece of metal.

I love this key! It is heavy like iron should be. It is distressed like an old key, and I'm over the top thrilled with this key. I actually ordered a few of them and am really glad I did. I really like unique old items. This key reminds me of that - something you don't see every day but is made with a lot of attention to detail. It has slight imperfections that actually makes this perfect. If you enjoy unique antique things, you'll love this. The look and feel of it just fits exactly what I was looking for. The material is thick, it's heavy, it looks like an old key.

Heavy, great price

It’s heavy like everyone has mentioned. I planned on hanging it horizontally but didn’t want 2 monkey hooks showing so I decided to hang it vertically. And I might paint the small portion of the hook that shows bronze lol. I wish it came with screws or hooks that matched....other than that it’s beautiful and sold at a great price

Sturdy!!

I love this Skelton key! It’s really rustic! It went perfect with the theme of my wall in my bedroom! It is heavy, you could most definitely knock someone out with it (although I suggest not doing that) it hangs easy, and it a little less than a foot and a half long.
