will this stop a sore bottom on my motorcycle in hot weather?

It's principally designed to help in situations where there's friction involved. Where body parts are moving against each other or rubbing against clothing. So if your problem is your @ss is rubbing against your jeans or the seat then it probably will help.

Is this the pre, during or post cream?

I use it as pre anti chaffing. Spot on 👍🏻 Nothing stopping you putting more on if you’re doing a 100 miler, never had to use it post ride it’s that good.

I'm doing an Olympic distance triathlon, if I apply the cream to my tri-suit (pre swim) will it wash away by the time it comes to the bike segment?

As a background i’ve participated in a number of endurance events including triathlons, adventure races etc. I have not come across any chamois cream that would withstand the swim. However if you place a scoop on a large plastic sandwich bag in advance then use it as a glove in transition it can be applied fully within a few seconds. It is by far the best chamois cream.

Can this be used for swimming to avoid wetsuit chafing?

You can, but if you're buying something only for wetsuit rub, there's better stuff out there. The rub on glide sticks are better because the film they leave is more water resistant, thick layer. This stuff is a light cream. It's great for it's intended purpose and even chafing from running, but it's light and not that water resistant.
