Goodbye Wyze, hello Tapo!
I’ll be writing this on all the Tapo cameras I’ve recently purchased. (4x C110, 2x C210, 2x C520WS) These are flawless, amazing, and so far ahead of Wyze it’s not even funny. They are massively affordable, truly need no subscription, have fantastic features in their app, can record locally to an SD card; everything you would want. Coming from Wyze (see more below), I didn’t know that cameras were supposed to act like this. I assumed, at Wyze prices, that I was getting what I paid for. But when I finally had enough constant stress and spent the money to change to Tapo… my life has been changed. Seriously, I probably added years to my life not being so stressed out all the time because my cameras never, ever worked right. These do, and I cannot say it enough times… if you’re currently using Wyze then get one of these. Use it for a week side-by-side and tell me what you think. Super light, have a few of mine mounted with ‘hard plastic velcro’ (3M Dual Lock). Setup is fast and easy, and works right away. Don’t have to do it over and over again (Wyze). Clarity is superb - 1440p quality. Night vision is phenomenal. Don’t really care about ‘color’ night vision - but my outdoor ones do have it. And one of the best parts is Tapo is part of TP-Link. What does that mean? TP-Link has been around for a very long time, and they specialize in networking equipment, LoL. So yeah, if you want a reliable camera on your network, who better to trust than a networking company. TLDR: Don’t waste your time on any other brand. Buy these. I promise you won’t regret it. About Wyze: If you’re like me and never wanted to spend thousands on home monitoring and security, then you may have stumbled upon Wyze cameras. At first, they were amazing - very affordable with no subscription necessary. And they worked. Over time, that changed drastically as they ventured into making everything else on the planet instead of focusing on their roots (cameras). They funded that stuff by changing to a subscription policy. And in their haste had multiple security breaches and problems such as other people viewing cameras that aren’t theirs. This is of course while the software and hardware has become so incredibly bad that they’re unusable. I mean, they actually do not function 92% of the time. Whether it’s freezing, not connecting, stuttering so bad that it looks like a PowerPoint presentation, app for closing, etc.

Great camera
This will be my 4th these cameras. I’ve been very pleased with their quality and performance. Install is easy enough but the challenging part for me has been the need to install power at most of my locations. It’s been worth the effort as the combination of cameras provides great coverage. The resolution is very good, even when selecting lower resolution options. This camera sees well in the dark and the detection modes afire effective. I use a 128gb chip for storage and it holds months of events. The app interface works well for notifications and camera selection and control. I am sold on this camera and brand and will

The Tapo security camera
delivers excellent image quality for its price, with sharp 2K/QHD resolution and reliable night vision. Setup is quick through the Tapo app, and the motion detection works accurately without too many false alerts. The pan/tilt models offer great coverage, and overall build quality feels solid. A great value option for home security.”

Excellent buy good price !
Excellent camera I'm impressed with the picture quality and the firmware Tapo is doing a good job however the home and away mode is a good idea however it resets all the settings to default.also from a theoretical perspective one should be able to turn off the motion setting because even at the lowest sensitivity even the leave trigger his event .night vision is excellent the 4 reset scenes for the pan is great I can quickly pan a full 180 with these presets. I really put this cam through the paces .though the rain without any major issue only bit of haze on the lens .As the sun came out it quickly evaporated I am impressed with the calling feature and even spoke to the Amazon delivery guy remotely s he delivered another package. Tapo's team is doing an excellent job with the cloud software it can only get better as te S.W version upgrade I decided to go with the brand because I believe I will be supportive with updates etc Andrew A Barbados

I'm in love with TP-Link company & products, Internet Secure Functionality!
I already own one of these cameras, they are very nice quality, stood the test of time and functionality, i will be buying more. TP-Link is a internet Safe Product, you can trust them unlike those who are upset that TP-Link will not submit to their backdoor access programming. Internet Secure Functionality

This thing is amazing for the price!
This has exceeded my expectations! I got this item to keep an eye on my dogs when they go outside to the dog door during the day. I was just expecting something to view them on the porch going out the door. The motion tracking Works fantastic how about the quality is better than I expected for the price. It pretty much follows my dogs out the door and the whole time they're in the yard until they go back in the house. From home, and go back and monitor every time they went outside, or I can just watch that whenever I want to check on them. I also have their indoor cameras, but this is much nicer. For my purposes, this meet and exceeds my expectations in every way. Some takeaways you may want to know, you're going to hear the motor on the camera, this model is only 15 frames per second, but I'm not shooting professional video here. Just want to make sure my dogs are okay and motor their activity. You can pay more to get a higher end model that can ignore pets and cars, but I don't want that. What this offers is exactly what I want.

I bought these for my mother’s house and I am able to monitor her exterior from wherever I am. Motion tracking and clear picture. WiFi signal. No subscription required. I purchased multiple after the first one.

Bought this camera to attach to my house to watch the back garden. I'm quite set in with the Google eco-system for my smart home, but this camera ended up being well worth it for a fraction of the price. Installation is easy; drilled a few holes, mounted the camera, ran a DC extension lead to a point in my house and it booted straight up. Note for this step; if you're using an SD card, put it in before you mount the camera for easiness! The camera will give off an audible error when you turn it on, this will go when the SD card is formatted. The Tapo app is an upgraded version of the Kasa app that I've used for years. The app is really good for controlling the camera's modes and settings, and it is very consistent with sending notifications from the camera. For the camera features, tracking is very smooth, identification is accurate, and setting up zones is really easy. I want to like the line-cross detection feature, but it's prone to picking up shadows and insects, so I turned it off. The spotlight is quite useful if you're outside late at night, but you definitely don't need it for night vision. The camera's sensor is unreal at night; you can make out details without any effort at all, and it doesn't lag like some cameras do in the dark. Strongly recommend this if you want a no nonsense camera with onboard storage with a lot of cool features. Another win from TP-Link. Last note, as of writing this review, the camera preview does NOT work with Google Home, but DOES work if you view it on your TV or Nest Hub.
