Remembrance

It gets noisy in cubicle farm. I need music without words to drown out the phones and chatter. I picked this recording because I have experienced results with other music tuned to brainwaves or something along those lines. The two tracks of Remembrance, Brain Food 1 and 2, are very easy to listen to while working out algorithms. I feel more focused, less distracted, better recall, and a bit of a mental lift or alertness. The music is light with what sounds like bells and birds against a background of synthesizer and piano. My favorite part sounds a little like a xylophone. It isn't all the same sounds. There is movement, and the overall experience is quite enjoyable.

I am a fan of hemi-sync as it works for me in mediation. I was really looking forward to something to help me concentrate and aid in studying. Based on the description I thought this would do that. The first track makes me feel very relaxed and sleepy. The second titled Attention does not. Does it help me study, focus, maintain attention- no its still just very relaxing and makes me want to do my usual ritual before mediation not sit and study. I am trying to focus with it on school work right and its not doing it. Four stars for the beauty and tranquility of it though.

Great CD to calm anxious kids - I have twin autistic boys and sometimes they squabble.... or they fuss in the morning when they need to get dressed/in the car/go to school -- put this on for 5-10 minutes and I have my happy little guys focused, calm, happy, eager to go to school.... love it!

As for the seller, this CD was basically new. No complaints there at all! It's the music.I bought this CD only because its case was empty at a thrift store and I was intrigued (I like ambient, classical, and instrumental music in the background while writing technical manuals).To help gauge this review, here are a few of my favorites: Kit Watkins, Debussy, Tomita, Holst, Vangelis, Reznor/Ross, Keaggy, Brubeck, Scofield, Bela Fleck, etc.So...as a musician and sound designer, I have 2 immediate reactions to this offering by Metamusic / Monroe Products:1. There are 2 tracks, which for all practical purposes are identical. They may have different "specially blended Hemi-Sync® frequencies", but without the use of spectral analysis it is not possible to distinguish the difference between these tracks.2. The music is basically mediocre. I listen to a ton of music with an assortment of synthesizers, and IMHO the sound design techniques and composition of Mr. Epperson are sophomoric.Summary: They've given themselves a nice "out", stating "...if you have a tendency towards...adverse mental conditions, do not listen (to this CD) without first consulting your physician. In the unlikely event you experience any physical or mental discomfort, immediately discontinue use."In other words, if you don't like this, the problem is with your brain, not the music (?!).Well, anyway...I'd rather have my $7 back, but I'll probably donate this CD to the thrift store so they can sell it for 10 cents or whatever.

Wonderful. They were kind. I had requested delivery in a short time and the package arrived in advance as of the due date !!! Awesome

Its good for concentration, tho not nearly as good as the regular hemisync concentration cd with whoosh sound. Hemisync does work but do give your ears a rest regularly.

I always enjoy and get a lot out of all the hemisync products. So far I have seen improvement in my memory which at first I didn't even notice that I didn't have to "search" my mind for.

I love listening to it while surfing the Web and the best part is it puts my cats right to sleep without them playing w/ the "mouse" or trying to catch the cursor......

作曲者はJ.S.エパーソン。この人の他の作品ではパッド系のもよ〜んとした音をメインで多用してるんだけどこのリメンブランスはそれらの曲とはちょっと違う。グロッケンを低くしたような音とハープシコードを連鎖させてできた曲は、ちょうどダンサブル方面に行く前の、30年ぐらい前の小室哲哉さんのゆったりしたデモ曲を彷彿とさせる。メヌエット的な繰り返しもフラクタルで生構造的であり、これも役に立ってるのかな。ながら作業だとよく集中できますし、寝っ転がってじっくり聴くと、幼少期のこととか色々思い出してきます。ドラッグ的な記憶力そのものの増強というよりも、記憶の中にあるブロック要素を思い出して解除するための役に立っています。メタミュージックなのでガイド音声は無いけどね。平坦なものが多いメタミュージックの中ではドラマチックに感じる、好きな作品です。

【気になる点】メロディーが過多という感じがします。一昔前の癒し系シンセサイザー音楽という雰囲気がします。3分ぐらいの短いメロディーが切れ目なく続いていて、集中したときにはやや喧しいです。【良い点】シンセサイザー音楽にありがちな暗さや変な民族音楽臭さはなく、明るい雰囲気はあります。へミシンク音楽につきものの「ぶおぶおぶお」といった音はあまり目立たないです。移動中に乗り物の中等で使用するには良いのではないかと思います。

仕事の邪魔にならない、いわゆる作業BGMです。音楽は、ホワホワとした感じで虫の鳴き声とか聞こえてきます。これを聴きながらやると、脳みそがジンジンしますよ。効果があるかどうかは分かりませんが、自分は漫画を描く時に聴いてます。（一時間しか集中力の続かなかった私が、三時間まで伸びたのは驚きです）

32分余りの曲に誘導用と本編の2つが入っています。楽器の音をぼかしたような感じです。リズミカルに演奏しています。　ベッドに横たわりアイマスクをした状態でヘッドホンで聞くのがいいです。体をもぞもぞ動かさずに音楽の方に意識を集中していると、意識が透き通るような感覚になります。普段はがさがさしてて、あれこれ考えてることがまとまらない、気持ちが落ち着かない、肩に力みがある人が、聞いた後は落ち着いて物事を考えられて、肩の力が抜けます。とくに脳波が速いと診断されている人は2〜3時間落ち着いて作業できると思います。大事な場面で緊張して力をなかなか発揮できずにいる人が精神を集中させるのにはいいかもしれません。　この65分の音楽を聞いていつまでも効果があるものではありませんが、効き目が切れてきたなと思ったらまた聞いています。1年以上私は1日1〜2回聞いていますが、肉体上の問題は起きていません。こちらは集中して作業したい人向けなので読書用にはFocus CDで用途を使い分けています。
