Can this tool be used to reshape an out of round copper pipe?

I have not used it that way, but presume it would. You may want to try a technique that uses an adjustable wrench set to the pipe OD and rotate it around the warped section. Hope this helps.

Came with any case or cover?

Just the package it came in no case or cover it does a fine job

What kind of copper can it expand. Does it do more than soft copper such as L copper?? Thanks

Yes but it’s a bit hard. But if you are just soldering instead of brazing, stick to couplings and reducers.

Need to go from 1/2 inch to 3/4 inch inside diameter for copper pipe to fit in kohler fitting. Is this what I need?

this tool will do the job but it will be less expensive just to buy a 1/2 to 3/4 copper fitting.
