Catan
Catan is such a fun game, we enjoy it for game night. It is a strategic game, took me a little time to catch on. The expansions are great, you can change the game up and keep it interesting.

BEST Catan ever
Please do not take this lightly when I say this is the best catan game of all time, we have every single version ever made. And we’ve played them. This small package has a lot to offer, and even though it’s just a foldable paper board, it is a host to be reckoned with. This game utilizes pieces from the original catan and from seafarers so please make sure you have these versions FIRST because it is not a standalone game. If you are familiar with catan rules, it is a breeze to learn. Still has the same strategy as all the other catan games, with some added twists and bonus features. Trust me, you will love it!!!!

Very Fun Expansion
When the package arrived, I was a bit crestfallen--the map is a foldable sheet and not cardstock. But we didn't care after a while: the game is well-designed and the new rules for this expansion are sensible but bot overwhelming. We had a full afternoon playing time with it and are looking forward to replaying it. I'm glad I bought it.

Fun scenario for Catan
Fun scenario for Catan and a nice way to mix the game up. The one downside is the paper map that doesn’t allow for moving around resources and doesn’t stay flat very well.

A very weak link in the Catan expansions / Scenarios. This isn't boxed either, with a somewhat flimsy paper mat that refuses to lay flat .

I have a number of the Catan series expansions and have always been happy with the quality. However, not so with the Hawaii expansion. The description says the material used is cardstock. The illustration also gives the impression of a board made of card. Sheer disappointment on opening the package, felt ripped off - no quality board, instead a folded piece of glossy paper, which does not lie flat on the table and is easily damaged when being used. Avoid this product if you expect value for money.
