Works great for RS422 and RS485 and uses FTDI chip
I have bought 3 of these and will buy more when needed. It uses the FTDI chip so the driver is available as a standard Windows 10 download. There are indicator light to show when there is transmit and receive activity. The kit also includes a screw terminal adapter. A great device all around.

Works great - just plug and play.
If you use RS422 or RS485, these are great, just plug and play. Just be sure that you wire the connector properly. I use them with RealTerm to test products.

Handy little adapter
This worked great for my needs, I used it on Win10 for a while to control several Oriental Motor drives via MODBUS in a multi-point configuration. In the final installation I switched to a DTECH RS-232 to RS-485 adapter since the control interface only had an RS-232 port. I now use the USB adapter on a Huanyang VFD running RS-485 which works fine as well. I didn't like how the activity lights blurred between the little status light windows so I popped it open and glued some black tubing over each LED to keep them constrained to their own status light window which really improved visibility of the Tx/Rx lights.

Very pleased with this, works perfectly, a breeze to use, especially with the interface board.
Does exactly what it is supposed to, drivers work just fine without a new install. Great to have the connector board included, and the light display is very helpful in configuration and monitoring the port. Definitely get more of this one when I need more

Great tool.
It’s a great tool for discovering Bacnet devices. The connector for the RS485 cables is fragile but the communication is great.

Good Buy
Decently packaged, love the fact the back of the adapter includes a pinout reference table printed on it, and the serial connector with screw terminals is a nice touch to make it quick and painless to use this with bare wires without needing to solder or splice your cable.
