Organic Sphagnum Peat Moss, Added to Soil and Enriches Plant Roots, Gardening Soil Amendment and Carnivorous Plant Soil Media(2qt)

I bought this peat moss to mix into the soil for my Boston fern, which I ordered as a bare‑root plant about six months ago. Ferns need moisture, but they can’t sit in heavy, waterlogged soil, so I used this peat moss to keep the mix light while still holding moisture. It worked beautifully — my fern has grown steadily, even after I brought it inside for the winter. The soil stays moist without getting soggy, and the plant has stayed healthy the whole time. Great quality and exactly what I needed.

I MIX MY OWN SOILLESS MIX AND NEED PEAT MOSS FOR HALF OF MY SOILLESS MIX for my African violet and succulent mix. THIS IS EXCELLENT QUALITY PEAT!! It even just looks rich and healthy in the bag. It functions as the base, 55%-60%, of my soilless mix for both plants. I didn’t realize the size of the bag, and it’s a small quantity for my needs because my mixes are mainly made of peat. I made an error because I needed a larger bag. The bag was not costly, but I needed way more of it than what I bought. I’d need more of a bulk bag to suit my needs. Next time I need it, I will be shopping around and get this brand, DOTER, in larger quantities. It’s a good and quality product, it looks rich and healthy, it keeps my African violet and succulent soilless mix FAST DRAINING….. TO PREVENT ROOT ROT …..along with about 10% vermiculite for aeration, and the rest is perlite. ID HIGHLY RECOMMEND DOTER BRAND FOR A GREAT QUALITY PEAT!!

Bought for my house plants. Not sure if it’s doing what’s it’s suppose to but my plants are thriving more since I added this to my soil.

Very fine and powdery like dust. Wear a mask and get ready to make a mess. Otherwise, it’s peat moss as described.

Make sure you check the quantity. This is a very, very small pouch!
