A true story of freedom and miraculous healing as a Muslim girl finds faith in Christ When Gulshan Esther, a devout Muslim girl, was six months old, typhoid left her a cripple. Her loving father took her from Pakistan to England to find a cure, but the only hope the British specialist could offer was prayer. Gulshan and her father made pilgrimage to Mecca and begged Allah for healing, but it was not until her fatherโs untimely death that Gulshan began to receive an answer. In her grief she wanted to die, but as she called out to God, for the first time in her life she sensed she was being heard. She heard a low, gentle voice say, โI wonโt let you die. I will keep you aliveโI am Jesus, son of Mary.โ As Gulshan began reading the Quran, her interest in Jesus grew, until one amazing night he appeared to her in her bedroom in a blaze of light. He restored her crippled arm and leg and taught her The Lordโs Prayer. He told her to go to his peopleโnow her peopleโand tell them what he had done. Since that time, and to this day, she has been a joyous, obedient disciple of Christ. The Torn Veil is an amazing story of faith and determination. This moving autobiography was first published in 1984 and has sold over 200,000 copies worldwide. Review: Very interesting and insightful book on Islam and Christianity - Wow, what a story. As a young disabled Muslim woman who had journeyed to Mecca for healing which never happened, Jesus then appeared to her and healed her. Her journey of faith led to many issues with her family and beyond, but she could not deny what had happened to her. A wonderful story, easy to read and challenging to all. Review: Torn Veil: A must read! - I could not keep my head out of this book, once i started reading...I really felt sorry for Gulshan, but at the same time what happened to her was meant to be...I think if she hadnt turned her back on her Muslim faith, then she wouldnt of become the woman she is today!...Also by believing in Jesus Christ and turning into a Christian she helped touch and help so may lives!...A must read,i would recommend to anyone.

A Wonderful and True Story - MUST Read
A remarkable and true autobiographical story of how a Muslim lady with an incurable paralysis became completely healed by Jesus who she knew only by reading of him in the Koran as a prophet of Islam. She is still living in Oxford UK today. She suffered much persecution and was disinherited by her family.

Wonderful Book and Easy Read
I loved this book! It really took me into the hearts and minds of Muslims in Pakistan and how they live. It also showed the persecution of women and especially of Christians in that country. This true story is remarkable. What a revealing and wonderful read!
