Cleaning power far outstripping any own-brand product, effective, quick dissolving, smell is pleasing and not overpowering and, importantly, the price point is correct.

Great cleaning but don't enjoy the smell
Pros: - Great cleaning power, even on a short cycle. - No visible residue left on items. Cons: - Strong 'chemical' smell, but I am sensitive to smells. Summary: These do clean the dishes well and don't leave a visible residue, which fulfills their purpose. However, I do agree with others though in that they have a very strong smell and the dishwasher does have a chemical smell when first opened. I must add that I am particularly sensitive to smells, so this may not bother others. I do give the plates a quick rinse with water before I use them to remove any potential residue, but probably don't need to. Overall they clean the dishes really well and create no visible residue, hence the 4 stars despite the smell. Would recommend for their cleaning power alone.
