How Not To Kill Your Houseplant

Great book , very easy to follow , good advice for all house plant growers .

This is a very handy book if like me your learning to take care of plants. Has so much information help on lots of different plants. Down to bugs viruses they get. Very pleased to have found it here after buying this book a while back for a member of family . Truly an amazing little book.

It's a rather short book, but all the main plants are there! Bitesize information, easy to understand, and nicely laid out with pretty pictures.Some of the advice is a bit general or even contradictory like "it may be down to overwatering or underwatering, or lack of light or too much sun". LOL, which is it? But tbh that's not a criticism of the book, that's just how plants are, always enigmatic making us guess, that's why we love them!I do find the contents page a bit misleading. It says for example that there's info about 'stromanthe' on the contents page, but actually there's just one sentence about stromanthe under the 'share the care' column on a page about ANOTHER plant. It also uses the lesser known/wrong names for certain plants, like 'peacock' or 'Indian rope', just use 'calathea' or 'hoya/wax plant'. Peacock is actually a specific type of calathea (makoyana), not the general name for all calatheas.

Loved the easy instructions and illustrations great information bought it for myself but will buy more as Xmas presents

Love this book. Finally an easy to understand book about common house plants and what to do. I bought another book for my daughter in law too for Christmas and she loved it too

The book how not to kill your house plants is informative and identifies plants that I currently have is brilliant.

This book is so cute and also informative. It has a lot of really vibrant photos inside as well as alot of information on how to care for many different types of houseplants. It is really helpful and if you're looking for a good basic beginner handbook that's got most of the starter beginner information you might need to know about caring for alot of different plants. It obviously doesn't have every plant in here, but there's a really surprisingly large variety. I was impressed.
