MegaChef Infrared Double Cooktop Ceramic, Black

I read the reviews about this so I was kinda leary about it. Some reviews said it didn't heat up well. I already have a single burner it will not get hot enough to boil water. I have a old cooktop. Only 2 burners work. I don't want to get a new one till I remodel my kitchen. This thing is fantastic! I cook all the time. It heats up fast! It boils, Sears, anything you need it to do. I even kept the box to return it. I definitely won't be! Not sure why others had problems with it heating. Maybe it is their cookware? I only paid 20 dollars more than the other piece of crap one I have. Highly recommend.

Worth the money. Heats up quickly. Easy to clean and it's nice to have the side handles.

I picked this cooktop because it had a lower watt demand than most of the others that were for sale. It works great. It is not fast but it does get the job done. I bought this after reading how bad gas stoves are for polluting the air inside our homes. The cooktop does stay hot for a few minutes, so I would not recommend for households with small children. The surface is glass. The glass cleans up easy. I did have a boil over with rice. The rice burned onto the glass. So it does look used because of the spill-over but functions as intended.

This stove top is perfect. If you have a small space or even for travel, it will work great. I agree with previous reviewers that the buttons get hot, but it’s not to the point that it will burn you. I would use a kitchen mitten to turn the button if it bothers you. I think it’s a great item for the price.

Very handy extra stove top during the holidays. Easy to clean off also.
