I'm thinking of using this to repair a hairline crack in a silgranite sink. The sink is beige, what colour is the putty?

Greyish, I'm afraid. Can the crack be repaired from the underside of the sink and not in view? Could be a solution.

I have a steel boat. after a hull survey, i have a number (15) of small sanded to metal areas around 20 mm round. can this product be used to seal?

I used it to seal a corroded Victorian water cistern with great success. It hasn't leaked since application some three years ago. I used six tubes though and built up coverage in excess of 20mm. I hope this helps!

would this work in plastic guttering?

It might, but I think you need a specialist plastic weld adhesive rather than this putty which merely establishes a mechanical bond. I used it on a cast iron tank and that worked well. Plastics are tricky and I would use a solvent based adhesive that is designed to weld plastic rather than merely adhere to the surface.

Can this product be used to stick tiles back on underwater in my swimming pool?

Yes, exactly what I buy it for. It looks grey when you take it out of the packet, but when you mix it and apply it sets white.
