Does this have/need a carrier oil?

No, this product does not have a carrier oil. The capsules are the generic white powder. Very hard to distinguish from other products with similar generic white powders . A carrier oil would be beneficial in that MK7 is fat soluble.

What size are the pills?

The capsule size is a 0, it is a slightly larger size. Please see images above to compare to a quarter.
