Vet Travel Capsules for Dogs

We have a 6 month old Irish Setter who has never travelled well ... he was always badly sick and ended the journey in a pool of drool. We paid £25 PER TABLET from the vet (including the consultation fee)! The tablets worked, but we could not continue to pay the price. We found these alternatives and decided to try them. He had 6 tablets yesterday ... half an hour before a 16 mile trip - he was not sick and the drool was a lot less. Same on the return journey. We have ordered more ... fingers crossed they continue to work as it will change our life! EDIT: Second trip, he was sick ... but perhaps less so and a little more chilled.

We have a 15 week old Yorkipoo, that had very bad travel sickness. 10 mins in a car and she would vomit every time. We tried allowing air to circulate, winding the windows down, full stomach, empty stomach, riding upfront, back seat, rear of car, medication from the vet, propping her upfront so she can see out of the front of the car, gentle soothing music, playing with a toy, everything failed. By all rights, these tablets shouldn't be very effective. The main active ingredient is Zingiber Officianale or more commonly know as Ginger root. Ginger does settle the stomach however, and they do work for my little pup. I think a combination of factors have taken place here for them to become effective. Firstly, the puppy has not fully developed, and it takes time for the inner ear and the brain to rewire so that the effects of movement in the car do not cause nausea. The nausea is reduced by these tablets, and also it is vitally important that the dog isn't getting anxious about going in the vehicle and going on a journey. If every trip induces sickness, then obviously they will soon associate the car as a bad thing and become even more anxious.Therefore lots of small journeys are needed leading up to bigger trips with a reward at the end of every journey like a nice walk, throwing a toy etc. We also feed her supplementary amounts of crystallized ginger which boosts blood sugar levels slightly, and ensure she is distracted with a toy in the car when travelling with lots of praise and stroking to offer reassurances. I'll keep her on these for any journey over 10 minutes and the ingredients are fairly innocuous and bland so they won't cause any nasty side effects.

Bought them for balance problem. They seem to have worked.

Used these a few times now on different length car and bus trips, they do absolutely nothing what ever dosage you give and to be honest it seems like my dog was worse after taking them. All instructions followed my dog is a Border Collie and 1 year old now, with the recommendation of 4 tablets from the package he was still sick multiple times plus a allot of over drooling. Without the tablets on the same 2 hour journey back on our last car outing, all he had was one very small sick and drooling but allot less. Don't waste your money.

These are amazing My poor chihuahua (not a tea cup) suffers terrible travelling since the day we got him He is instantly sick soon as you pull off. And he loves being with us and loves the beach so I was prepared to try anything. After going vets and paying £25 for 1 tablet that didn't work in the slightest I come across these by accident and I read every single review and to be honest wasn't expecting much. I gave my dog 2 tablets and HOUR before our journey and he took them with ease. And guess what we pulled off with ease with no sickness great start ... but wasn't holding my breath. As typical brits school holidays .... and bank holiday .... we went sea side and yes we got stuck in traffic a hour and 15 mins the usual time it takes .... it was obviously 3 hours this time round But .... my boy wasn't sick once..... right untill we pulled up to park and he was sick. But I have read everywhere that you can give more tablets if your on a long journey. Which I probably should of done when we stopped to stretch his legs and give him a walk. These tablets didn't make him sleepy he did dribble a little which he never does. But he was sat up right head out the window loving life he looked like a different dog. So on the return journey home 4 days later Which took normal amount of time and hour and 15 mins Again an hour before setting off he had 2 tablets again Wasn't sick once .. amazing These tablets really have changed little man's life for such a small cost I still can't belive these have actually worked for him because I honestly didn't think I was going to find him anything

Worked fine on our puppy for a Two hour drive up until now he has been sick every time he has been in the car. Really pleased didn’t have to wash the back seat out after our long drive
