642 Tiny Things to Write About

I recently bought this book for my friend who is an aspiring scriptwriter. He has been suffering with anxiety and depression of late, so I thought this would be a nice gift for his birthday. It gives him the opportunity to work on his writing skills, and being concise with this words. At the same time, he has told me that it has given him something to focus on and even develop - for example, one pages states to summarise Hamlet in 149 characters; he is not familiar with the play so has decided to do some research. This occupies his time when he is feeling low, and is very pleased. I am tempted to purchase another for myself!

Bought this as a gift for christmas. Its a great little book with some interesting ideas. Each page contains a few ideas for you to think about and write your own personal take on the questions. Its something that would be fun to write and add to a memory box or time capsule to see how much your ideas have changed over your life.

Bought for someone who is interested in writing and started classes. It is nice and compact, good for travel. It is an inspired idea and the person was enthusiastic on receiving. However, it might be argued that the area for writing could be just a wee to small (thus 4*) so I bought a pack of fine-pointed non-smear pens to accompany the gift. Time will tell.

This little book is full of inspiring ideas to get any writer eager to get started!

I bought this book for my daughter, who is bipolar. She thought It was a good little book and actually gave her something to think about that was fun too. Even I found this book something I would buy.

too tiny but still good content

I love this little book. I don’t leave home without it. Fits into my bag nicely, not to heavy and I enjoy filling it in anytime I have a spare moment or two. I also got the larger version. I have noticed some minor grammatical errors, to do with explaining prompts on a few occasion but you get the point and direction regardless. Would make a great gift for anybody who likes to doodle with words

The prompts are fun and interesting. It helped me to improve my creating writing and the book justifies its asking price.

Beautiful, pocket-sized book, convenient to carry everywhere. I teach creative writing and sometimes when my students run out of ideas I lend them this book and they enjoy choosing prompts to help their creativity. Great buy!

Je suis professeur d'anglais au collège et depuis que j'ai acheté ce livre, je le garde constamment dans mon casier au travail. Il et génial lorsqu'on a des élèves bilingue et qu'on souhaite les faire travailler sur les compétences d'expression écrite de façon ludique et en parallèle du cours (je les laisse suivre le cours et dès qu'elles ont terminé les activités, elle choisissent un ou plusieurs sujets qu'elles rédigent et je corrige pour le cours suivant). Cela leur évite l'ennui et moi cela m'évite d'avoir à me creuser la tête à chaque cours pour leur trouver quelque chose de supplémentaire à faire. (C'est aussi intéressant de lier ce bouquin à des fiches de vocabulaire thématique pour les aider à développer leurs connaissances). Au niveau des sujets, il y en a vraiment pour tous les goûts et certains demandent 5 minutes alors que d'autres peuvent demander 1h, c'est très varié. Je recommande vivement.
