This invaluable companion to The Care & Keeping of You received its own fresh update! The Feelings Book will help you understand your emotions, and deal with them in positive ways. You'll get tips on how to express your feelings and stay in control, plus get sensitive advice on handling fear, anxiety, jealousy, and grief. Learn how to stay in the driver๏ฟฝs seat of your own emotions! Review: Highly recommended - My 9 year old daughter was dealing with some feelings that she didn't understand and that were distressing her. We talked but I felt I needed to give her more help and guidance. I bought this book, offering a choice that we could look at it together or on her own. She immediately wanted to read it alone. She loved it! Reading up to 26 pages at a time. Easy to read, great illustrations, paced well. She has learnt so much about herself that she has impressed me. It has really helped her and she asked for the accompanying feelings journal, which I also got her. Review: Fantastic - I wanted something for my 9 year old daughter who I think seems to be dealing with hormones. One min she's happy, then angry then crying. I didn't want something too old which I found with other books talking about sex etc. This book however is fantastic and very age appropriate for this age. It's written in a great fun way in which she can understand and you can also complete questions and answers. It's got everything covered including dealing with grieve. I like this book so much I will be purchasing the other ones 5 stars from me

Brilliant for 7 old upward helping with expressing feelings.
Although American this book has helped my 7 year old grand daughter to express her feelings, if she is upset her mother tells her to go fetch the book and read it, then come and tell her what is wrong, it is brilliant and well worth the money, together they can work through issues.

Fantastic purchase.
This has really helped my daughter to identify and understand her emotions- the only thing that threw her was the way they spell Mum... MOM ๐๐.

A good book
This has really helped my 8yo daughter. She has been struggling with her emotions recently and so I wanted something that would help with this and talk about reaching puberty but without going into details about sex just yet and this is exactly what this book does. The context and approach is appropriate for her age and the use of language is well pitched too.

Perfect help for understanding younger emotions
Great explanations for younger children to understand and apply to emotional situations they find themselves in. Enough on each page without being overwhelming and great lighthearted illustrations to complement the information. Bought for my 9 year old - she is really enjoying reading it and is finding it helpful.

Really helpful.
This book is brilliant. Yes it's a bit American but it's the best book I've found that helps those pre teen girls understand and manage their feelings in an easy to understand and non patronising way. Great with the work book .

Really great to read with both my daughters age 8 & 10yrs. Helps them raise difficult topics, and great as a reference for them after a tricky day. Would love something similar for my son.

A must read for young girls! Great to read together!!
I cannot say enough great things about this book! I got it on a recommendation from a trusted friend, and I am so glad that I did! I have been reading it ever night with my nine year old daughter. Each section covers a topic that makes for great conversations between us. Some of the feelings discussed are anger, sadness, loneliness, jealousy, etc... My daughter always says, "how does it know exactly what I am feeling???" When she realizes that the book is written for girls her age because everyone feels these feelings, it gives her more peace about the emotions she is feeling to know that they are completely normal. There are questions submitted from kids (not sure if they are real or just sample questions, but they are good and easy to relate to), then they offer advice, similar to an advice column in a paper. So far, I haven't found any advice that I disagree with! I like that the advice doesn't offer one solution, but different ideas and suggestions so your daughter can think about what would work best for her personality. These are important topics that need to be discussed. However, I found that many times, they were being discussed as they were happening. It's hard to talk to your child about anger when they are angry. This is an opportunity to talk about them when you are further away from the situation and able to think more clearly. I feel like it has brought my daughter and I closer together. We look forward to reading The Feelings Book every night!
