Bright and Cool
So far, I've had no issues. I got my first pack of these from a thrift store and loved them, so I got these for my road bike and have no issues. The pack I ordered here didn't come with instructions, but they were easy to remember how to install. I like that the batteries are included too. I'm an avid cyclist and work night shift, so I figured these would be a noteworthy investment (solely for safety, how they look is totally irrelevant to me, lol). I've gotten compliments on them from cars and late-night trail users. They don't interfere with tire changes either. They seem a little flimsy, but they've held up well against dirt. Ive not gotten them that wet to know for sure, though. The lights are bright enough to be seen from a distance, and definitely turn heads, which makes me feel safer in the dark. They don't weigh much or feel bulky either. I feel like a kid, but they really are practical for safety.

Color changing! Sweet Ride and Good visibility
Really awesome product to not only make the bike look cooler but in safety in being more visible. Lights are bright and had no issues with any bulbs going out. I got the color changing one. YOU CANNOT PICK THE COLOR; It just rotates a set or 7-8 colors on loop (red then yellow, green blue, pink, purple back to red) But is still really cool and stands out alot. It is not difficult to install, just weave it around the spokes and the battery compartment is attached to the wheel axis (center part of the wheel) It has a cleverly placed screw top to take out the batteries and change them when needed and screw back in place without disturbing the whole setup. It lasts a long time, ive had it several months and not needed to change the batteries yet. (3aaa each)

Great lights - safer night time riding
Easy to install, looks to be more sturdy than a different brand I had purchased a few years ago. Very bright, looks cool and definitely makes night riding safer for my kids. One thing I’ve noticed with some of the brighter colors (e.g., green, probably white) is that they can be so bright that they might reduce your night vision. I prefer to put the slightly less-bright colors (e.g., blue) on the front tires and a brighter color on the rear tires. YMMV.

Defective. Only 2 settings
These are great bike lights C you wind them through the spikes which is a bit tedious but secure once you go through the trouble. We have had them on a few bikes. Unfortunately these arrived defective , they don’t have 3 settings like they’re supposed to. They only had OFF and Blinking. I prefer the Constant ON setting like my other Activ lights have. I sent the first set back, got a replacement set, and they have the same issue. No constant light setting. Only OFF, or Blinking. I find the blinking setting annoying. The lights are nice and bright, rotate through the colors, so it doesnt have the constant “galaxy” blend of colors. Disappointed they don’t have the solid ON setting.

Galactic vs Pastel
I pored over a lot of reviews trying to find out what exactly Galactic was compared to Pastel. Galactic has only 2 settings: Constant On and Off. I believe this might only apply to Galactic since it's default already shifts between flashing and fading, which is really cool looking. When it's on, it has lights that fades into different colors every second for 7 seconds. The colors shift from pastel (pink, teal green, yellow, light blue) to non-pastel (red, dark blue, dark green, white). After 7 seconds, the lights will then go crazy, flashing brightly between pastel and non-pastel themes for about 7 seconds. Then it repeats. Their installation video link doesn't work, but there is a paper with instructions that was easy enough to follow (I uploaded it for anyone who didn't receive one in their box). All lights were in working order. When installing onto your tire, put the batteries in, and don't unravel the lights before starting. Leave them coiled tightly like how it came, only unravel as you start weaving them through the spokes. It's easier that way. Initially I was torn between ordering Pastel and Galactic. I ordered Galactic because I had a harder time knowing exactly what it looked like and what colors it had, I figured give it a shot. Galactic might be a bit too many colors for my personal preference, but I'll go with it for now. (EDIT- I ended up returning it for Pastel since I like those colors better... but I do wish pastel would fade and go into berserk flashing mode like Galactic). For comparison, my other half already installed a different brand of bike lights on another bike- Wheel Brightz. I rolled the dice on getting ActivLites. The other brand, WheelBrightz, chosen color is just red, and only has 2 modes (solid on, and off, no blinking). It has the light strand encased in a plastic sleeve, and the lights don't seem to be as bright as the ActivLites. WheelBrightz has a larger battery pack (square) that attaches to the spokes, and requires 3 AA batteries. ActivLite is a smaller battery pack shaped like a film cannister and is installed onto the center wheel hub (more hidden profile!). I was able to install it to the inner hub myself, with a little effort. I have 27.5" wheels (700 x32c) and each ActivLite pack was enough to line each rim completely with 2 LEDs left over. I worked carefully because the ActivLite strand is thin, bare wire, only sleeved about 8 inches where it connects to the battery pack. ActivLite seems more fun, bright and cheery than its competitor. I will keep an eye on which brand starts having problems first. I shared a picture of the thin wire and pretty much hidden battery pack in the center wheel hub for ActivLites, and showed a picture of the WheelBrightz square battery pack on the spokes with plastic encased wire, for comparison. I also posted a video showing Galactic and its colors, and Pastel in its colors.

Are better than I expected
These are really awesome. Easy to install for the most part, fit on most tire types, and though the lights are small they are quite bright. Naturally they aren't seen too well in the daylight but cloudy days and night rides they look awesome. I bought two sets, one for my electric bike and the other for my bike trailer/stroller, they hold on really tight and can stay outside regardless of the weather.

Awesome Bike Lights - I Wish I Had These as a Kid!
My wife ordered the two sets of the Activ Life Bike Wheel Lights for our two kids' bikes and we couldn't be happier! These lights are impressive, look really cool, and provide visibility now that shorter days have arrived. ► Installation: Installation is my least favorite part of this product and is a little awkward and your hands are guaranteed to get chain grease on them. Regardless, the effort is worth the result. In short, you'll attach a small battery pack (with the LED controller) to the central hub of the bike. It's held secure with two strong straps (included) and batteries are provided too. From the battery pack/controller you'll then route the lights through the spokes all the way around the wheel. It's a little time consuming but again, the results are worth it! That's pretty much it. Just be sure you don't go to heavy with the strand of lights in the beginning or you run the risk of running out by the end and having uneven lighting. ► Operation: A small, simple button toggles the lights on/off. My kids do not need help to operate the lights and their small hands can more easily reach the button anyway. Yay! ► Lights in Action: In a little over a month we've had zero problems with the lights. They've stayed put (and my kids ride their bikes a lot) and are still operating on the original batteries. I cannot stress enough how cool these lights are. They've impressed everyone from our kids' grandparents to neighbors and all the neighborhood kids. They've been such a hit that my wife and I have defaulted to buying these as birthday gifts for our friends kids. We're really, really pleased all around with these lights. Most definitely recommended!

Look great, longevity and ease of use not great
First, this product is a good value for the money and looks great on my bike and my daughter's bike. You get oohs and ahs from strangers (especially kids) as you ride down the street at night. It is extremely eye-catching so it serves as a great safety light as well. I would buy again for these reasons. With that said, there are some quality and design issues: 1. the oval band used to attach the battery pack inside the hub is really difficult to install. I got it done, but it took a while and was frustrating. It required pretty strong hands. My teenage daughter could not install hers on her own. 2. That battery pack is a little temperamental. The batteries have to be replaced fairly often if you use you bike on a routine basis. The three AAA batteries slide into the sleeve in a cartridge. You have to screw off the end of that sleeve to get to the cartridge. The sleeve and cap have a low quality plastic-on-plastic thread that is hard to get started. If you make it tight, it is really hard to get off. Mind you, you are trying to reach between spokes to twist and it is impossible to get leverage. But if you detach it from the hub instead it is equally difficult to re-install to the hub. If you leave the thread a little loose the lights will not come on. 3. The battery cartridge pushes power to the lights by a spring. (similar to the insides of an older model battery flashlight.) That spring has very low tolerance levels to maintain contact and seems to wear down over time. Thus, after 19 months, I have 1 that usually wont turn on and another that turns off every little bump in the road. That is two failures out of 4 lights total. 4. The filament that strings one light to the next is pretty fragile. It is like a thin copper wire and can break from repeated bending or one sudden tug. I eventually got one broken just from normal wear and tear. I did learn pretty quick to lock my frame to bike racks and not the tire because a lock through the wheels would put direct pressure on the filament. As stated already, the batteries will wear out. I switched to rechargeable batteries really early on, and it saved on battery cost and greatly reduced the weight.

A Great Set Of Bike Lights
These bike lights are a bit more complicated to fit that some other styles of bike lights. Its easier with a second set of hands for example. But it comes with a solid set of fitting instructions. Just make sure you align the internal battery compartment correctly or the lights won't work. But once they are on, they look amazing in use. The colours are great with the constant changing of color. And you don't need to be going too fast to get a good effect from them.

Nice bright light from tiny little led`s
Great little item, great for Disabled people to put on their mobility scooter ( we put them on the tiller from bottom to top & around the metal seat frame ) for added safety so they can be seen better at night. Nice & bright, easy to fit, fits nicely onto self propelled wheelchair ( rear ) wheels & battery pack onto the hub, Disabled people seriously need lights specially made for their mobility aids to be seen when out & about at night.
