10 out of 10 - amazing antenna
The interesting thing to note about wifi is that *each* 3 db is a doubling in signal strength. Therefore this will double or even treble your signal strength - which makes a world of difference to your browsing speeds. This is a dual band antenna, so will work with older 54 mbps and 150 mbps and the new 5 GHz networks. The new AC networks work at high speed over short distances (30-40 foot), so this antenna ensures that even if you're 2 rooms away, you get the maximum speed from your new routers. If you're over say 50 foot away, then you'll probably find the 2.4 ghz network will be your best option. The benefit of the older 2.4 Ghz networks, is that they travel much longer distances (so that you can sit in your back garden). You'll get 300 mbps easily from your garden with this antenna. Luckily this antenna offers both frequencies, so you're future proof. It also means if you go to Starbucks or your a hotel and they have an old wifi system, you can still connect. The maximum speed of a g network is only 54 mbps, but the N networks are either 150 or 300 mbps. The AC networks offer over 850 mbps. The point here, is that if the router is only transmitting at 54 mbps, then the antenna can only match that speed, it can't improve it if the router itself is on a zimmerframe. I know, life isn't fair! I have 100% link and 100% signal strength on my AC router... which I couldn't get before (as it's through 2 foot walls). It works great on long distance wifi - or in older houses. Plus it lets you work in your garden if you want to. It will bring an older laptop upto date with the latest and highest speeds. Because the antenna works with both 2.4 ghz and 5 ghz networks, this means you're future proof for the new home routers and capable of working in your back garden and over long distances.

Nice, works great.
Not bad. I use it with an Alfa USB adapter to track the general location of rogue access points and client devices using Kismet on a custom-made wifi pineapple from a gl.inet router.

Great for fox hunting.
Awesome at figuring out a signals direction

Rubbish
No improvement in power, range or speed over the small aerial supplied with my travel router. All in all, a waste of money.

Operates pretty much as expected
To be honest I wasn't expecting miracles. I purchased it purely as a cheap directional antenna so that I could concentrate a beam from one of the radios on my router in one direction (to reach into the garden). Essentially his is not an active signal booster or extender it simply directs the signal so that all the energy is in one direction rather than 50% going into the neighbour's house etc. In my case (based on very unscientific measurements using a phone app) I'd say that the signal way about 25% stronger in the beam and significantly weaker outside of it - which was what I was after. I did find however that this was restricted to the 2.4Ghz band and I got little or no improvement with 5Ghz (although it did make it directional of course). I note that the price has now gone up. I'm OK with having paid £11.50 but £15 is probably stretching it a bit. There obviously becomes a point where a wifi extender or active antenna becomes a far more sensible investment, especially if your router has multiple radios. In my case I only needed to direct one signal and things would have been slightly different if I needed to do all three (£45 will get you a decent extender).

Great Speed boost
Fantastic aerial. my problem, i have a mini PC in my gym with a standard wifi aerial attached (achieving roughly 20-30Mbps) in stalled this and angled it to point in the general diection of my router and the result was over 200Mbps) - couldnt be happier.

REALLY WORKS - see comparison with other antennas
This really works very well. I have a WiFi security camera in a shed a long distance from my in-house Router. I have tried several external aerials. All worked for a time but despite being advertised as 'external' they all quickly rusted up and lost efficiency or stopped working completely. The original camera antenna did not work, nor did a much longer omni-directional aerial. In fact this is my second purchase of this item. I attached the first directional antenna directly to the camera inside the shed, and it worked immediately and consistently. Highly recommended.

Stable, range, speed.... all you want in your WiFi signal
I built my own pc and got my self a pci tp-link WiFi card. I had the original antennas with it x2. I always try to connect to the 5GHz WiFi channel as you get a lot more speed to it. I noticed when I was swatching channels I was only getting 1 bar for a signal which is really bad, I always had to connect back to the 2GHz! So I bought myself this and boy let me tell ya, I can get on my 5GHz noooo problem and I get my full download speed now from my hub :) I highly recommend this! I have this and 1 original antenna and that’s all I needed was 1. I’m gonna buy another in the future to double my range even more ;)

Fantastic directional antenna
Does what it's supposed to. Works very well. Took the 2.4Ghz network signal from about -48 to -38. 5Ghz went from -65 to -55. Hard to give exact numbers as it changes throughout the day but the best I've seen is -36/-49 respectively which is a HUGE improvement. Took 5Ghz from mostly unusable 2 bars to a full reliable 4 bars which was the whole reason I got it. Antenna is very directional as it should be. Seems to catch reflections off the wall which might make you think it doesn't matter which way you point it, but it certainly does. Pointing it at the corner or straight up drops the signals to -75 or so. Also make sure you are careful of polarization. That is you should have it pointing the same way (vertical in my case) as the router antennas. Turning it 90 degrees lost 5 to 10 dbm. Your not going to want to stick this directly on a PCI card at the back of your PC. The way they articulate, you cannot make them face forward. Left/Right/Backwards/Up/Down are the only choices. It is somewhat big, but about the same size as a good quality omni-directional antenna. I am using it with Asus' included antenna mount which holds two antennas. The combination of these two directional antennas and placing them on top of the case where there is better line-of-sight makes a vast difference and made 5Ghz viable and reliable even through 2 walls at about 30ft. And to remove all doubt, the logo is the active side and should face your router. They aren't lying about 16 degrees vertical coverage either. Almost wish they made these things with a sight hole to aim them precisely. At $25 they can be hard to justify, especially getting two of them in my case. You get what you pay for though.

Useful little wifi antenna
I'm using this antenna mounted on top of a GL-AR300M16 (shadow) travel router to connect to a wifi which is around 150 meters from my cottage (we're in a camping). While it's no miracle gizmo, it does make the router see and connect to that wifi as an extender. Surfing is slow but steady. I'm planning to but another one to improve the signal!
