Casio Wave Ceptor Men's Watch LCW-M500TD

This is my second titanium casio- i wanted a black face version as easier to view than the white ( my eye problem, not yours!)i use them as everyday watches and timekeeping is perfect.The alarm is too quiet but i don't use it anyway! The sapphire glass doesn't scratch -unlike the cheaper versions- and the titanium is so light you would think its plastic.I had the strap shortened but its a secure fastening and looks good-with space for engraving is you wanted.My previous work watch was a Breitling -which has the NAME and PRICE tag -but I think the Casio is a better product with the solar panel- means no more batteries - and set to the second nightly automaticallyI only wish they made a version with maybe a dark blue face - but keep the same chip!

Excellent watch. Clear and elegant hands and face. All the accuracy you expect with Casio radio reception . Lightweight case and bracelet are a pleasure to wear

Like this watch a lot, its VERY classy on the wrist without being in ur face, easy to read, grate time keeper like all wave ceptors ar, this will make 3 i have, this one is for going out not work & being made compleatly of titainium wont wear round the edges & show its age & also makes it light.

My second wave captor and the accuracy is spot on. This watch has a simple and functional dial that is easy to read and the watch looks very classy and good quality. I have gone off chronometers with multi dial faces (rarely used anyway) and with world time, stop watch, alarm(s) and countdown timer this has all I am ever likely to need. The backlight is a very useful feature.The titanium strap and case look very good and with the synthetic sapphire crystal should be very knock and scratch resistant (time will tell) All in all an excellent watch would have got 5 stars if it had been cheaper. Similar functions are available on cheaper models

Wanted a watch that kept perfect time and this is it. Quality of the watch is excellent, light weight and extremely comfortable.looks like a watch 3x the price . This the most expensive model but well worth it. Highly recommend.

Really nice watch. Very light, classy, packed with features. The only problem for me is the there is no micro adjustment for the bracelet.

Very nice watch, however the price fluctuates hugely, don't pay more than around £265.

Lovely looking watch but didn't know that titanium was so soft. This watch will scratch easily. After six weeks of evening and weekend wear the bezel and strap are covered in small marks and scratches. I regret buying this watch and I wish there was a stainless steel version.

Vorab, dies ist meine erste Uhr in so einem hohen Preissegment.Ich bin schon seit Kindheitstagen Casio-Träger, habe aber immer nur solche einfachen Modelle wie DB-36 für ca. 20€.Mich hat es aber angestunken, dass sich ständig die Armbänder aufgelöst haben, sprich gerissen sind, aus welchen Gründen auch immer. Deshalb habe ich mich dieses Mal für eine reine Metalluhr entschieden.Da ich Wert auf mindestens eine 10 Jahres Batterie gelegt habe und die Funktion einer Funkuhr ganz interessant fand, habe ich lange nach Modellen gesucht, die ebenfalls nicht so globig und riesengroß sind wie meine Alte. Klar ist diese hier um einiges größer als die alte DB-36 aber dennoch eine der kompaktestens mit Solar, Funk und komplett Titan. Titan war mir ebenfalls am Ende der Entscheidung wichtig, da ich Angst hatte, die neue Uhr wäre mir zu schwer. Und ja, dies hat sich als weise Entscheidung bestätigt, da selbst die knapp über 80g der Titanuhr schon merklich auffallen am Handgelenk. Ich will dann garnicht wissen, wie eine Edelstahluhr mit 120 bis 140g am Arm gewirkt hätte.Nun zur Uhr selbst.----- Verpackung -----Diese kam "ausreichend" verpackt bei mir an, leider nur mit einem standard Faltkarton von Amazon und das Metalletui war aus dem Casio-Karton herausgerutscht und leider auch schon minimal verbeult. Nunja der Uhr hat es keinen Abbruch getan, diese war im Metalletui gut mit Schaumstoff gepolstert.----- Verarbeitung -----Die Uhr ist sauber verarbeitet, keine Kratzer oder Fehlstellen. Sie macht wirklich einen tollen Eindruck und wirkt sehr wertig. Eine Kleinigkeit stört mich zwar aber dies ist noch kein Grund für einen Stern abzug. Der Verschluss des Armbandes ist doch recht "scharfkantig". Dies hätte ich mir doch ein wenig abgerundeter gewünscht, da ich hiermit unseren Sohnemann schon einen kleinen Kratzer verpasst habe. Das hätte nicht sein müssen.----- Kürzen des Armbandes -----Das Kürzen des Armbandes habe ich selbst übernommen.Ich habe 3 Glieder mit Hilfe eines hier bei Amazon mehrfach angebotenen "Kettenbolzen Remover" entfernt.Das hat mich vielleicht 20 Minuten gekostet und stellt überhaupt kein Problem dar, wenn man nicht gerade zwei linke Hände hat.Hierbei ist, wie bei vielen anderen Rezesionen erwähnt, auf die kleine Metallhülse zu achten, die im Kettenglied den Bolzen "festhält". Geht dieser verloren oder wird nicht mit eingesetzt, hat der Bolzen keinen festen Halt und die Gefahr vom Verlust der Uhr ist groß.----- Funktionen -----Bei den Funktionen ist mir ehrlich gesagt unklar, wie sich hier manche beschweren, dass diese kompliziert und nicht zu merken wären. Mag sein, dass ich mit Casio aufgewachsen bin und mir solche Sachen auch liegen aber mal erhlich, bei 3 zu bedienenden Tasten und übersichtlichem Funktionsumfang ist das jetzt nicht gerade ne Sache, wo ich 5 Jahre für Studieren brauch. Ja auch ich habe mal in die Bedienungsanleitung geschaut ("Bedienungsanleigung" is mir sonst egtl. ein Fremdwort) - und ja, auch hier nur in die Onlinevariante und nicht die Minimalausdruckvariante in Papierform- aber man brauch sich echt nich viel merken, außer welche Taste zum Umschalten der Funktionen ist und auf welche Taste man mal etwas länger drücken muss. Für alle die sich vorab informieren wollen, die Bedienungsanleitung gibt es auf der Homepage von Casio zum Download angeboten!Mein einziges Manko auch hier, ist die zu kurze Zeit für die Beleuchtung, die m.E. kaum Ausreicht, um die Uhr ordentlich ablesen zu können. Nunja, dann drücke ich halt 2x auf die Taste.Dafür sind die fluoreszierenden Zeiger selbst für mich als Brillenträger auch ohne Brille gut erkennbar.Alles in allem eine super Uhr, zwar auch für einen stattlichen Preis, der sich aber auf Dauer hoffentlich bezahlt macht.5 Sterne von mir.

Overall LCW-M500TD-2AER is a really good watch. I like it's functions, like auto-adjustment by radio signal, solar power; I find it easy to use, because it reminds me previous Casio Edifice; it is good looking and feels very comfortable on the wrist.The only annoying thing to me is a high reflection from its glass, especially in interior light, which makes a bit difficult to read hands. I hope I'll use to it, but so far I'm taking one star back.And a good word about seller Amazon EU Sarl - I'm very happy how the delivery went. The shipping to Lithuania took one week, exactly how it was estimated, without any issue. Thanks a lot :)

Un peu agacé par les ruptures répétées des bracelet-montre en matière synthétique : trois d'entre eux, sur des montres différentes, dont ma CASIO utilisée au quotidien m'ont "lâché" en trois semaines, j'ai décidé, vu les prix prohibitifs auxquels ils sont proposés en tant que pièces détachées, de contourner le problème.Très satisfait de mon ancienne CASIO Wave Ceptor, en dehors du fait que sa couleur argentée a fini, au fil des ans, par s'user progressivement laissant apparaître le boîtier synthétique (gris clair), j'ai pris l'option de suivre la même marque, pour sa fiabilité, son coût d'entretien très bas (pile), sa convivialité du fait des réglages assez intuitifs, même pour une montre offrant de nombreuses possibilités.Réponse : Titane ( bracelet et boîtier) + verre Saphir (inrayable) + solaireLa portant maintenant depuis près de 3 semaines, je suis enchanté de cette nouvelle acquisition !Trois seules remarques : - d’autres ont noté que le dateur peut effectivement se régler en plusieurs langues ... SAUF le français. Pas gravissime : on est habitué, dans ce domaine, à l'anglais depuis des décennies, mais, alors autant préciser d'entrée quelle-sont les langues adoptées ! - pourquoi autant insister sur l'ATTENTION qu'il convient d'apporter à la charge de la batterie ( certes on peut manquer un avion si la montre n'est plus opérationnelle) MAIS, la mienne m'a été livrée en demie-charge et 48 heures plus tard, elle affichait une charge MAXIMALE sans plus en déroger depuis. Or je ne l'expose que normalement à la lumière (port quotidien), jamais posée en plein soleil ! - sommes-nous particulièrement bien exposés aux émissions de l'antenne de l'horloge atomique ? En tout cas, JAMAIS, ni la précédente, ni celle-ci n'ont été posées sur un rebord de fenêtre, la nuit, pour leur permettre de capter les signaux de mise à l'heure - portées même en dormant, elles ont toujours donné l'heure exacte !Question:Cette référence de montre est très esthétique ! Elle existe également en titane NOIR ( à mon goût encore plus belle ), sauf que, je crains que le noir soit appliqué comme l'argenté l'a été sur ma Casio précédente et qu'à la première rayure, il laisse transparaître la teinte de sous-face en titane ?Dernier point :Le bracelet ( et c'est normal ) est livré dans une taille prévue pour des poignets assez larges : j'ai donc aussi dû le raccourcir.Cette opération se réalise avec un minimum de difficulté : l'envers des maillons est gravé d'une flèche chacun, indiquant dans quel sens il convient d'extraire chaque goupille au besoin. Par exemple, placer la tranche du maillon à supprimer au-dessus du trou d'une bobine de fil à coudre ( flèche du maillon dirigé vers la bobine, puis appuyer sur la goupille à l'aide d'un tournevis d'horloger ( une pointe de trombone devrait aussi faire l'affaire ).Pour raccorder les extrémités du bracelet après en avoir retiré le ou les maillons excédants, BIEN aligner les 2 premiers trous des maillons, introduire délicatement la goupille depuis le haut et la pousser vers le bas - bracelet posé sur la bobine de fil. Le plus délicat est d'aligner, ensuite, PARFAITEMENT les 2 derniers trous qui recevront la goupille - jouer un peu sur leur alignement TOUT en POUSSANT la goupille fermement, MAIS SANS forcer vraiment. Une fois, la goupille parfaitement introduite dans l'axe des maillons la positionner définitivement par un dernier appui de sorte qu'elle soit enfoncée dans le bracelet à l'identique des autres goupilles montées d'usine.Pour ce qui est du délai de la livraison : un peu long par rapport aux habitudes prises, mais arrivée le jour même de l’échéance du délai prévu - CONTRAT rempli !Produit et marque que je conseille fortement !
