Quite good, even compared to more expensive Sardines
Pretty darn good! I had no idea that I even liked sardines, until a friend gave me a tin of Nora sardines. I then ordered 8 of those. They are quite good, but about twice the price of these, so I figured I’d give these a shot. I ordered a case of 12, and I’m quite happy that I did. I just tried the first tin, and I must say, these are delish. The only noticeable difference is that the oil in these is quite watery. I would describe it as a mix of oil and water, perhaps only 10% oil, whereas the Nora are in ~ 90% oil, it is much thicker. They say they are lightly smoked. I would say very lightly, I did not notice a smoke flavor. For the price difference, I can eat twice as many of the Wild Planet Sardines. And I think that I will do just that!

Very good sardines very good
These sardines are by far the best in their price area. The olive oil is very tasty. That’s in with the sardines and the sardines are delicious. I try and eat at least two cans a week.

Great stuff!
These sardines in the Extra Virgin Olive Oil are one of those pantry staples that feel genuinely “premium” the moment you open the tin. The taste is clean and pleasantly savory—rich without being overly fishy—and the olive oil, which is a bit watery (which I dump out) adds a smooth, mellow finish that rounds everything out instead of masking the flavor. Texture is where these really shine. The sardines are firm and meaty, not mushy, with a nice flaky bite that holds together well whether you’re eating them straight from the can, piling them on crackers or whatever. The oil keeps them moist and silky, so you get that satisfying tenderness without any sogginess. If you’re picky about canned fish, these are a solid upgrade: great smoky flavor, great mouthfeel, and versatile enough to make a quick snack feel like a legit meal.

Good quality
Based on the ingredients, it is a good quality product. Taste good and texture is also right. The only issue I am having is can-opening experience. As soon as I open the can, the oil just got out of can very quick and sometimes I have to clean the mess.

My quest for the best sardines and recipes
My wife and I did not like Sardines, but wanted to based on health+sustainabilty considerations, so entered into a quest to find sardines and recipes we could stand*. The short story is, these were the best brand we found for an even semi-reasonable price. With these sardines, we found 3.5 ways of eating them that we actually look forward to (!), and 2.5 ways of hiding them satisfactorily in things we like. I'll probably edit this later with actual recipes, but for now here's the gist: 1. Favorite - lightly warmed and broken up on a frying pan with the following mixture already hot: soy sauce, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, black pepper, vinegar, pepper flakes, brown sugar or a drop of molasses, and rosemary. Served on toasted slices of baguette style bread. 2. Best fast/easy/travel - treated exactly as Lox on bagels. Cream cheese, dill, garlic, capers, onion, tomato - whatever you'd normally add. 3. Patties. Look up a salmon patty recipe, replace salmon with sardines - voila! Slightly different, but if anything it comes out more delicate. Serve with tartar and/or cocktail sauce to taste. 3.5 - Halfway between the list of "enjoying sardines" for what they are and "hiding sardines". Largely because I'm not sure how to count it. Beerdine Brats. Treat them exactly as you would a sausage/brat, cooking it in beer, lay it out on a bun, sauerkraut, mustard, ketchup, pickles, etc. To taste. Tastes basically the same as a sausage or brat, but far healthier and better for the environment. 5. Tuna/salmon salad + sardines. Make the fish salad as you normally would, but slip in a can of sardines. You can tell, but it's not overwhelming, and worth it for the health/cost/environmental benefits. 6. Basic tomato spaghetti sauce + sardines. Makes it a bit heavier, more savory, so probably better not during summer. After tomatoes stewed, add the sardines before all the other herbs, spices, and wine. I found myself adding less salt, more black pepper, more wine and garlic proportionately to everything else. *Note: if you decide to undertake a similar quest, avoid fish(sardine) taco varients. It is a black hole of disgusting despair - it seems like there should be a way to do it, so it's tempting to keep trying, but the best we ever managed was not-the-worst-thing-ever. Many nights of gagging :/

Excelente sabor de la sardina, no es fuerte, es ligero, para mi gusto está perfecta, ya que las sardinas con sabor fuerte no las toleraba. Las volveré a comprar. Me llegaron perfectas y muy rápido.
