I bought this as I was desperate - my beloved backpack of nearly a decade developed a large tear and became unusable. Normal thread wouldn't be strong enough, I knew I needed something special. Enter this stuff. It's tough, it arrived quickly, it's easy to thread and it repaired my backpack- crisis averted! Great stuff and reasonably priced, very happy :)

I have ordered and used this as my go to cotton for years as it is highly dependable not to fail in projects like hand made baby mobiles etc where you need strength in the cotton, safe in the knowledge that it is safe. The cotton comes in many different colours, it's thicker than normal cotton and is very difficult to brake it by hand. Amazing value for money.

In casa sono praticamente l'unico che osa e destreggia l'ago da cucito. Sia su cose delicate come il costumino da bagno della figliola, sia su cose per niente delicate come la fettuccia del borsello. Quindi il corredo da cucito lo uso solo io, ma ne patisco il fatto che non ho scelto io gli strumenti che lo compongono... quindi aghi troppo piccoli e fili troppo sottili e delicati. In questa review della dotazione set cucito, la prima necessità è stata identificare un filo robusto, pratico e seplice da utilizzare. Robusto l'ho già detto? Perchè non c'è cosa peggiore che iniziare a cucire qualcosa e poi, causa forse mia indelicatezza o forza smisurata, vedere il filo strapparsi a metà opera... situazione in cui non si può tornare indietro e annullare quanto fatto e non si sa come andare avanti per chiudere in sicurezza quanto già cucito!!! Quindi un filo massimamente resistente che non faccia MAI scherzi di questo tipo. Resistente anche perchè mi deve risolvere questioni "di carico", cucire una fascia di un borsello che dovrà resistere sempre a qualsiasi condizione e carico. Il filo acquistato è sicuramente ottimo e resistente. Questo comporta che abbia un diametro un pochino "rilevante" ma va benissimo se sopporta tutti i miei strattonamenti. Prezzo forse un pò caruccio 8€ per 100m, cucitura media di 20 cent ha un costo di 1,6 cent. Direi che si può fare. Anche se sarebbe ottimo avere un rocchetto da 20m a 2€. Inoltre preferisco comprarne uno per volta del colore che mi serve piuttosto che affogare in 100 rocchetti da 100 colori diversi dei quali so che finirò subito il nero, il bianco e il blu e terrò per sempre il viola e il giallo... #62 @20200907
