Kids Book of Crosswords 1

Our four year-old became obsessed with newspaper crosswords and this book is perfect - it starts off with shorter, simpler puzzles and gradually becomes more difficult. There are 150+ puzzles so it’s great value. Highly recommend for young ones.

Book in sections from Beginner to advanced. Granddaughter was able to build up her confidence, understanding the clues and skills gently and with success.

Nice size for a child and about the right level of clues

I bought this book along with the wordsearch book for my little boy. He loved it. It keeps him occupied when we are out for meals, or appointments and it helps him with his spelling and writing without him knowing. I dont bother timing him, I just leave it to him to do in his own time. A handy little book that fits into your bag and comes in so handy. A good book for the price. A happy child = a happy mum.

Small crosswords are easily achievable and fun for children to do

I wasn’t going to leave a review - it’s a perfectly acceptable kid’s crossword book so there’s not much to write, but...There’s another review on here that says their book was sold as new but ‘had clearly been used then the pencil rubbed out.’ The reviewer has also provided photos.As a result of that review, I checked my copy when it arrived and it was clean and new, with no pencilled in/rubbed out answers.My son’s used it for the first time this morning, and mysteriously, there’s now pencilled in answers on other pages. Except they’re not; it’s ink transfer from answered questions on previous pages.Have a look at my photos; you can clearly see the bottom left ‘d’ has transferred, as has the ‘u’ in 3 down. It’s happening when there’s a black square on the following page, and/or my son presses too hard with his pen (very common when you’re a kid!).Anyway, I’ve shoved a folded piece of paper between the pages to give it a bit of padding, and transfer is no longer a problem.

lovely little book. bought for my niece 150 puzzles with the answers if needed at the back. great for education as well as pleasure. good price makes a really nice present.

This was a good price and my 9 year old has really enjoyed doing the puzzles.There are easier and harder clues which is good, and a wide variety of subjects covered. Each puzzle is just the right size to challenge but keep their interest, and the book itself is a handy size for travelling (a little smaller than A5.) A good price and well worth it.
