KRUPS XB502050 Coffee Carafe for Coffee Maker Machine KM4055 and KM5055, 12-Cup, Black

Fits my Coffee maker like a charm. New and improved because as in other reviews the original carafe was a pain to pour out completely. It would run down the sides of the carafe.

Seriously, A carafe only has a couple jobs. The lid will not stay open if you don't hold it open while filling it. And you cannot evacuate the carafe into the coffee machine because the lid won't allow the carafe to clear it. UG. I wish the president of these companies would actually try the products before they okayed them for manufacturing.

I broke my original carafe, which had its own set of design issues. Krupps tried to improve on that design because customers complained that it did not pour well (which is true). This replacement model, pours well and the lid comes off (the original carafe, the lid was permanently affixed). However, my biggest issue w/ this replacement carafe is the design of the inside lip. It is impossible to pour the entire contents of the carafe using a normal pouring angle/technique. You have to turn the carafe upside down and open the lid. It doesn't work well w/ my particular Krupps model, which has a small opening to pour the water to begin with. No matter what, I am always left w/ water or coffee at the bottom of the carafe that will not pour out because of the inside lip.I am hoping this carafe doesn't last as long as the original and an accidental breakage occurrs.... After a few weeks, I am really tired of this replacement carafe and will buy a new coffeemaker. I am loyal to Krups but am disappointed at this carafe and design.

Fits tighter than original so a bit difficult to get in & out. Also difficult o pour out last amounts of coffee due to carafe design. Good thing is spout doesn't drip like original did.

It is wider than the original and harder to pour water from it into the coffee maker water reservoir

Purchased as a replacement for my coffee pot, after the rim broke. Fits perfectly and the reinforced rim will avoid any future accidents.

Broke my original carafe and was not able to find any local source for a replacement.Picture looked similar, with a slight difference in the lid from mine, so was not sure it would work, but it did work.Old unit had more limited lid opening range, so it was always difficult to pour water in and never would completely empty.This unit has more lid opening range, which resolved that issue, so I'm very happy with it.

I read the description as fitting my Krups as a replacement but it was way too short
