Is this the best shredder for the money please? If not which brand is at similar price?

For the Monies I think yes! This Shredder will shred 14 sheets of paper and cross cuts, The CD part for cd's and credit card, only shredds vertical which is ok for CD's, I use the Shredder for any cards I want to destroy because of the cross cut. I have had this Shredder for about 9 months and it hasn't failed me yet! NOTE: This Shredder is a little noisier than top dollar ones $$$ I am satisfied with my purchase... Good luck...

Thanks for your question, This shredder has 5 minutes running time and 30 minutes cooling cycle. For safety concern, if it keeps shredding over its maximum working time, shredder will be overheating, after 30 minutes cooling cycle, it can restart to work.
