How well does this work on round bales wrapped in twine?

Its a typical box cutter blade so it should do fine. Ours does well on net. Lasts about 8 to 10 bales.

How is the blade held in? Can it come out accidentally? Thank you

It's very simple, you just need to loosen the screw and then open the cover, then put the blade and then tighten the screw. This way the blade will be securely fixed and will not fall out.
