It’s a high quality very moist wipe that cleans very well. Easy to use and effective for all sorts of applications, I like to clean off the end of my polymer frame after a day at the range helps get the thick gunpowder residue off. Review: Cleans the lead residue off. - My gun club doesn’t have anywhere to wash our hands after shooting. I keep these in my range bag so I can clean up after a range session. These wipes are good quality, are nice and moist, and work well (though I haven’t tested to see if there is still lead residue on my hands). I use them to clean my hands and the soles of my shoes. There’s a larger size container available but this smaller size fits well in my range bag.

Good for the range bag. Pricey for what they are.
I use these to wipe myself down before leaving the range. They do good at removing lead particulate, but on some level they do feel like just moist towelettes. That said, my range stocks them at the counter so they must be worth something. I could never get the towelettes to stick in the lid properly so I always end up popping the lid off and grabbing one manually. I'm not sure about the high cost on these, I almost feel as though some store-bought ones might do the job 95% as well.

If you really think about it… we NEED these.
We all know that there are a lot of things in ‘gun powder’ that we probably do not want to have on our hands for very long if we can help it. As much as I LOVE the smell of burnt powder in the air, it’s still not lost on me that many of the chemical compounds found in a powder charge really aren’t among the most healthy things in the world. As ammunition started becoming more difficult to find, it also became more expensive… when you could find some. And so in my case I began to buy ‘the cheaper stuff’, which in most cases is a LOT dirtier & more corrosive. Not burning as cleanly & efficiently, a lot more residue is left behind. In your gun, in the air, and on you. Especially if it’s of the ‘military surplus’ variety that may have been sitting in a Eastern European ComBloc warehouse for who knows how long. The long & the short of it is this - especially if you shoot a LOT, and even if you only shoot a little, having these compounds on your hands is something you’d rather avoid if & owhen you can. Over the past few years I’ve likely tried every brand and type on the market, and most simply mask the odor with really strong floral scents & then leave a layer of lanolin (at least I think it’s lanolin) over the top of everything it failed to remove. Sealing it all against your skin rather than taking it off. Just as soap is essentially an emulsifier, or a key that opens the lock of getting oils off your skin, D Wipes seem to be the emulsifier that can get the compounds left over from a session on the range to come off your skin. I know they’re good for your hands, and my wife uses them on her face & neck when she gets home just before washing her face (I’m told that the manner in which a lady washes her face is of a certain type of magic that we mere men simply cannot understand), and she swears by that. Simply put, there has been nothing I’m aware of that works as well & as thoroughly as D Wipes. Long gone are the days of Borax and a scrub brush - and I’m thankful for that. It’s not something that you HAVE to do, and to be fair many people just don’t worry about. But with the more that I learn about the chemicals & compounds that are found in most every type of powder charge used today, it’s at the very least worth the little bit of effort it takes to clean these things off your skin as much and as often as you can. It’s one less thing to worry about, and anything that can reduce your health risks can’t necessarily be bad. Plus… shooting isn’t the ONLY thing that can cause you to get lead & various VOCs on your skin. If you can - get a tub of D Wipes & try them out.

Works fast!
I get lots of lead buildup on my fingers from handling 22lr when target shooting. This cleans it up so much faster than washing my hands it's amazing!
