I got this device because I have a fleet I maintain and work on. I've tried this device on many cars and would say it favors more of the american cars in my experience. Some of the pros and cons I've noticed and listed below. Pros - Rugged Design - The device feels like it has a nice rugged case on it and could withstand a fall which can be very useful when working around cars. - Covered ports - Nice touch. I really like that it has covered ports. This can too be very useful keeping dust, dirt and fluids out. - USB C charging port - I love being able to charge via usb c. This port is most commonly used and have them throughout my home, one of my favorite features. Cons: - Updates - Not 1 click for me. I had a few updates fail the first time around. I had to do the updates about 3 times to get all of them to successfully install. - Coverage - The coverage could be better. This device only has a few maintenance functions. Topdon should have more coverage for the functione it does offer. It was unable to oil reset the 2 vehicles I tried it on. One american and one Asia brand. - Alerts user to disconnect vci - Useful feature for devices with BT vci. For this wired device, not necessary. Overall great product, for the price it is well worth the money and I would say falls into the category right above beginner. It's just one step above the $30 basic scanners out there. If your an advanced DIY or shop, skip on this one.

I was able to reset the idle and adjusted the throttle position with this tool. Excellent value. Nice touch screen. This is a mid range diagnostic tool, meaning that you can do some changes, and resets to the computer on certain areas of the car. If you want more functions, then you will have to get a more expensive higher range diagnostics device. This was what I needed. It's very easy to use. Comes with a nice carry bag, charging cable and OBD2 cable. It comes with a small manual but I didn't even read it because it is easy to figure out. Make sure to plug/unplug OBD2 while the ignition completely off. This is true for any OBD2 device.

I needed this to set my EPB to maintenance mode to change my brakes for my ‘22 Legacy. Worked first try without issue. Highly recommend to connect a 12V battery maintainer while running the EPB reset so the voltage doesn’t dip and cause any issues. Love this tool, has tons of great diagnostic features, and works for TONS of cars. 10/10. Local shop quoted me $700-900 for rear brakes alone. This tool, rotors, pads, other etc supplies added up to $350 and took only 2 hours to change. Fronts will cost even less to change since I have everything I need now.

I have used several obd dongle type scanners but webt down the research rabbit hole when an airbag light popped up on my wife's Nissan and the dealer quoted $400 just to diagnose it! This model seemed to be well regarded and purported to read abs and srs codes. Another scanner I tried also said it would read srs codes but after purchasing it I found that to only be true for certain vehicles and returned it. This unit did exactly t ly as promised. Setup was easy -after setting it up on wifi I updated the unit' downloaded the nissan specific package and off it went. The whole process was fast and smooth. With the inits wifi connectivity, I was able to determine online right from the unit that the airbag light was a simple consequence of a failing battery and saved the $400 diagnosis fee. The only issue I've run into is that at this price point the unit does not have much memory so I've needed to purge each manufacturer package in order to install a new one. Overall this works well and I would highly recommend it to other diy users

Tons of functionality for the price. Easily beats out most of the top brands, and one of the best things besides the back lit full color touch screen is the lifetime free updates. Other brands you have to pay for updates or have a black and white screen. Great tool To read live data, check and clear codes . Plug and play easy to use and connects to WiFi. I’m going to try and see if it can hold my throttle at a specific rpm so I can spray in some gdi cleaner.

Good deal for the price. The scantool is ok for what it is capable of vs the higher priced options of a fully Bi-Directional Scanner. It will do alot of basic relearn functions and has good scantool properties and can scan modules other than engine controller. The battery tester has left much to be desired, printer never self feeds, always binds, it relies on the battery power from what's being tested, it cannot hardly ever tell you if a battery is actually good or bad, it does test alternators very well though and it still provides a printout to put in front of your customer. Starting circuit test is just a timer and watches low voltage point, kinda useless in that aspect. I would definitely recommend the scantool, the battery tester is more of a freebie they throw in because it's not very good. Will be upgrading in the future. Also the scantool has updates for a year or two and has its own battery power and will connect the wifi and send reports and such. Nice tool for the price

Very cool tool, very easy to setup - wifi, registration is just a couple taps; downloaded modules for several makes, it connected to the car instantly, identified the VIN and fetched the codes with no problem (I haven't tried any resets yet, like throttle or oil). The touchscreen is great, responsive, menus and navigation are intuitive. (the unit I received from Amazon was used and registered to other buyer, but Topdon's support solved that pronto - Thanks again!)

Bought this scanner to reset Electronic Parking Brake on my 2020 Lincoln Aviator. It worked perfectly. I plan to use this device to diagnose issues with all of my vehicles. Very happy it comes with free lifetime updates.

ずいぶん前に購入したのにレビューしてませんでした。 サンバートラック(S500J)の診断･修理で利用しました。 エラーが出たところを交換すると不具合が改善されたので、しっかり悪い箇所を見つけてくれてるようです。 修理屋や作業内容にによっては点検だけでもお金をとられることもあるので、これが数年使えれば元はとれるし無駄に修理屋までの往復をせずに済むので助かります。
